Catnip is a beautifull nymph who loves to sing to the animals, and while she is still plauged with the shyness of her youth, its not as bad anymore, for she will walk up to a person and strike a conversation with little effort, though in her mind she is still shy as a church mouse... or, um, er, cat. She is loveing, and has the ability to make anyone smile with her seemingly unfaultering innocence.

Catnip can now change her phisical shape to matche that of any animal she choses as long as she has touched the creature before. She can transform into any kind of feline, even those she just imagines, at will.

Nov 1st, 2004~

It appears sometime around midnight, Jack desided to give gifts to all the nymphs on this special day of his. As the nymphs awoke to the new day, they are realized that there was a small colored bag resting near their heads, with jacks whimsical handwriteing on it, with the words "Trick or Treat" across it. The strange bag seemed to glow, and from inside could be heard the laugher and giggles of creatures unknow... what ever could it be?

10/22/2004 - Intro to Journal, Catnip as a seed

((Okay I edited this post to better fit the main thread...and because I got a great idea and it didnt fit before...so sorry if it seems like a lot is missing...lol))

I have decided to dedicate this journal to better exlpain my actions in the rp, fromt he start it will be thin, for my Catnip is but a little seedling, but as it grows so will the length of these post. Or so I hope. So as a guideline for this, anything I type in intalic is me posting random thoughts or stuff, and anything in normal font has something to do with the rp...hope it makes sense...

Little catnip is a small baby (aka seed) and it has been slightly slow to start. The sun has been warm, and it seems to just send a glow down upon the green patch of flowers where Catnip resides. It is camoflouged perfectly so, hopefully, nothing will desturb the seed until it 'hatches'. When the sun is not out and the weather is bad, the flower where Catnip rests curls around until it covers the seed completely and keeps in the warmth. So far nothing has happened, just breef moments where the winds blow the flowers or they curl up, but hopefully something will happen soon, for the seed is reacting well with the sunlight and the protection of the flowers around it.

Wind amazes me. He seems so drawn back, yet his powers shine through him so. He is so powerful. The winds bow down to him as he glows and they slam through the air, yet dance with the leaves. Rain is beautiful, but when she showed me her powers, Wind held an unbrella, because it soon started to rain. I loves how it was so pure of a power, yet it was water. I feel so bad...but I cannot help it. Water and I don't mix, as Jack should know. I wonder where Jack is, we never met up after I ran into Rain.

After awhile of just talking to Jack, or more like just basking in his presence, a new nymph showed up, I guess her name was Iris. She was so pretty, she had beautiful hair, and as soon as I realized that I knew I was staring. I couldn't believe myself, and my stomach dropped as I looked down to hide my blush. I couldn't talk to her, I mean, what would she say. I knew it was being shy, but I didn't know what to do. So as she talked to Jack, I noticed how she was one of the first adults I had seen, and I knew I had to leave them. Rushing off, Jack caught me to hug me, kiss me on the top of my head, and he told me to hurry back to join them. I couldn't do that, I didn't wish to, I loved Jack, but I had no idea about this new nymph. I didn't mean to be mean, but I told him maybe another time, and I ran right into Rain. She pulled me away towards Wind and we all left to a clearing in the woods, where Rain and Wind went on to show me their true powers...I had no idea how powerful they were, beats my teleportation. And I thought they would steal my powers...

As I followed Takiko, Jack came behind me and then the twins appeared. Both welcomed me so nicly and I couldn't help but love them right away. Then I met up with Jack again, I had to go and get some pots for my twins. Jack helped me, and I forgot all about being mad at him, and then as the twins left, he stayed with me, and I remembered when we went out the other day, to look out at the moon and some meteors that fell down the sky. He told me he wasn't used to having to fight for attention, and that people wanted attention to feel special and to be noticed. I asked him why he wanted that from me, and he just said, "You will understand when you are older..." I wish to grow soon, then I will understand Jack. I told him he was my best freind, that he would always hold a place in my heart, and that when I grow older he needs to explain it to me. He said he would.

Today Jack decided to pick me up. I wasn't sure what he was doing until he headed towards a spring. I knew it, he was going to throw me in, and he did! I coulnd't believe it, but then as I came out he laughed and just pointed out I could have teleported, I knew that! I walked away and he started to say I shouldn't be worried about the water, I was a cat after all. But I dont like water, it makes my hair all wet. So as I teleported to my room, I saw the seeds. They started to glow, and I ran downstairs. I looked for kiko before I sat down, frustrated in not finding her. Growling, Jack herd me and jumped to my side, wondering what was wrong, but I ignored him, I mean, he did throw me in the water. Beside, I wanted to see what he would do if I was mad at him. Anyways, Takiko appeared, and ran past me as a falsh appeared in the room, and as I turned I couldn't help but wonder, did they grow?

I was sitting with Takiko, TF, and Jack when they started talking, I wasnt sure what they were talking about, but Jack said something then he started cuddling me. Then Takiko gave him the stuffed doll of me! It was so embarrassing so I had to run off. When I got to a feild of flowers, Jack walked up. He asked me why I ran off and I had to tell, I feared he was laughing at me, but then he was so nice and we just joked around, before I told him my fear of the tiwns! I couldn't believe it, but then he said he would be there for me, and hugged me before ruffeling my hair. We then sat there and talked some more, about me growing and how I might not have pigtails. I wonder what I will look like when I am older...Jack told me what he was thinking. He thought I would have some flowers, and grow to about his shoulder, and have some flowers in my hair. Then he told me he didnt have anything, but I love Jack the way he is, I dont want him to ever change, because he is my best friend...

Jack started to tickle me and wouldn't stop, and finally when he did I was having a hard time breathing. I stood up and went over to the flowers, but I dropped my hairties, and after I picked some flowers for Jack, they were gone. When I put my old ones in and looked to Jack, he pulled them out and put the old ones in! I wasn't sure what he was doing, or how he got the hairties he gave me...

Jack told me a story today, one about a wanderer named Jack and a princess named Catnip. The wanderer saw the princess and sold all of he possessions, saving gold for a nice outfit and then went to a ball, asking the princess to dance. They danced, and the princess started to sing, the instraments playing with her voice, and then suddenly a bad man came and kidnapped the princess. He wanted her for her powers, but Jack came to rescue her. They faught, the bad man using his evil powers but Jack used his own powers to over come the man. He sealed him in a blood red flower, but inn result his powers changed, and he would only be able to use them for good to protect the princess, not evil. So, Jack turned the flower into a gem and gave it to Catnip as a wedding gift, and they got married to live happily ever after. It was such a great story...and then Jack took me to his spot...where there we so many flowers, it was beautiful.

Kiko says that if I tell someone about a dream, then it wont come true...so I might as well write it down...but I am writing it in red so I will know not to read it until later when I am ready.

My dream started out with Jack and two twins that also had orange skin and green hair, but their forms and faces were shadows so I couldn't see what they really looked like. They seemed to be getting along fine, until Jack started to yell at them and they turned their backs on him, ignoring him. I couldn't tell what Jack was yelling about, but then my dream grew darker, and Jack with his sisters dissappeared...leaving only myself and these two shadows. They were the twins Kiko found, they both had glowing blue eyes and dark blue grins. They started to chase me, demanding me to give them my powers. Finally they caught me, and in a flash, my powers left me, and they were gone as well. All that was left was Kiko looking at me with sad eyes, Jack right next to her seemingly wanting to reach out but not doing so, and the twins. Appearing out of the shadows, their laughter filling my dream as Kiko and Jack started to fade father and farther away. Slowly my dream seemed to spiral down to darker places, until I felt a warmth, and an arm waking me up. I was up for but a moment until I fell asleep once more, the dreams not so bad as they were just blank warmth.

I dont think I am ready for these twins...

I was sitting in my spot, Kiko just a ways off. I was singing when the same fawn came up to me, and after awhile it ran off. Then Takiko found these flowers. I am not sure what they are, but Takiko said they will grow up like me. I am afraid, because when Jack came he told me about his sisters, I dont want my powers to be given up! Jack though, on the other hand, gave me his gift. It was a mask and some hair ties. Its so nice, and then I fell asleep. My dream...I dont wish to write about it just yet...

I somehow had lost Jack in between all of the fun on Halloweend and when 'Kiko was teaching me about the animals in the woods. I still have his present, I dont want to open it unless he is there because he said himself that he would 'know'. That still doesnt mean I am not excited. Kiko started to show me the world around me, and thoes creatures in the 'stream' were really fish, and there are rabbits, doggies, kitties, and even these cute creatures called deer. A small fawn went up to me on Halloween, it was a child just like me, or so Kiko told me. I also discovered the animals love my music, and some even come to me when I sing, they are so nice, they listen to me and dont try to hurt me. Kiko said that was strange that they all were so friendly, but shy to others, and I noted that they are just like me. I had so much fun, I cant wait though, Kiko said more holidays' are coming up.

One more day until I open Jack's present, and I cannot wait. I dont know why, but it seems so great that I got a present, and my gaurdian explained that you get most during this holiday when it snows and this guy gives out gifts that most have always wanted, and coal when they are naughty. I must remember to get Jack one when that holiday comes up. Jack is so nice, he even used one of his creatures he created to get everyone blankets, and started a fire when it was raining. Takiko and T.F. seemed to both be getting ready to rest, and Jack was so warm, so I decided to just sleep for a little bit. I sure hope Jack didnt mind at all.

Cat's cradel is very simple, well, it was after I had gotten used to it. Jack was very nice, and said I might have been better then him, and he was the one who taught me. I think he said that because he was my friend. At least, I hope he considers me his friend. Another nymph was out in the yard, one the same age as me, but I didnt wish to talk to her, I was having to much fun with Jack, as well as my gaurdian/mother Takiko. The other human my mother was with, she seemed nice, and she is the gaurdian of Jack. I am not sure of their relations, but it seems like they might be hiding their friendship behind pranks and anger. Jack gave me a present, one he said to not open until Halloween, which I cannot wait for it to come up. I wonder what he gave me, I hope it is as great as his other presents. Jack seems like a really giving nymph...

There was this strange nymph on the deck of the house, he had orange skin and green hair. When I first noticed him, he had this strange smile across his features, and I couldnt help but freeze, my shyness sinking in. Before I knew it, he was behind me, and he greeted me. I spun to face him, and he was a lot bigger then me, and I lost balance as I fell. He helped me up and asked for my name, and when I asked for his, I discovered he was called Jack. He gave me some gifts, a boque, some sparklers and he even started to show me this game called Cat's cradle. He was very nice, and suprisingly I wasnt afraid of him. He just kind of had this charm to him that made all my shyness go away. I believe he is a very intresting nymph, almost as intresting as they animals in the woods or creatures in the waters. I am not sure what to think of him though, I need to spend some more time with him first.

My body was stiff, and I couldn't help but fist raise my arms high to losen my sleeping body. The winds brushed through my hair, giving me a strange sensation of small tingles rushing up my neck. When I finished my loosening, I noticed a strange sound, and moved towards it to see a liquid, cool to the touch and clear as the sky above and the air around me. Before I could look into it further, I had to see if anyone was around, and thankfully there were no creatures, my ears helping me fully serch for sounds. As I bent down, I started to hum a strange tune, one not even I knew, but it soothed me, reflecting my calm demenure, and it seemed to bring sparkling creatures out from their homes towards where I waited. They swam up to the surface to meet with my fingertips, and I dared not move closer, for soon I heard a strange noise and had to stand, my calmness turning into a heart clenching fear. I wasnt sure what made the noise, for suddenly everything became dizzy, the world around me splitting into a hazy smoke for what seemed like hours before it all came back to a grassy yard. Behind me seemed to be gardens of some sort, and I could only fear thoes who owned this heaven, for if they caught me...I was frozen in my place, unsure of my next move.

Now the journal is in Catnip's view, and you will see why in just a moment

My mind and body were numb as I felt a slight jolt, waking me from my slumber. I am not sure how long I had slept, though I could tell the warmth of which portected me start to peal away as soon as the cool air hit my skin. I felt the smooth bed under me slowly decend until all I could feel was this soft surface with a harder one underneath. I couldnt fall back into my sleep, the warmth and security now gone, and I had no other choice but to sit up, and so I did. I felt the wind at once, it taking my bangs and pigtails and playing with them in a strange sort of dance, and it broght a chill reminding me of my loss of warmth.

Then I could hear noise, my ears perking, or so I could tell as the sounds filled my mind. Everything was strange, new and unique, and it intrested me to no end. It was a whole new world, filled with warmth, winds, all differnt types of noise and even the strange grass under my fingers at the time was something to ponder on. I couldnt help but sit there, my hands buried in the grass as my ears perked, and I just listened to everything around me, taking it in for the frist time.

Lately I have been spending a lot of time with Jack, going to his house, him telling me his dreams, and me telling him my hopes. I think this is true love, even if we need to build up more trust, I just know that nothing will stop me from loving him. I just dont know if he realizes that. I love him, shouldn't that be enough for him to tell me? If he waits, he is just going to hurt me even more. I love you Jack, but I need you to tell me about your past, I am here for you.

We ate before I fell back asleep, and Jack was gone. I went outside to swing under the willow before TF ran into me, and we left to go hang out, she took me to Jack's house...wait, we are going inside, I cant write it in here...that wouldn't be fair, I am sure Jack likes this house to be a serect...

After Jack helped me get confortable, and when he gave me his medicin, I fell asleep for a short while, waking only to find him with some fresh soup and some juice. I loved the soup, a rich turkey, but than he read my mind, and I jokingly left in a rush, he believed me and followed me up the stairs. I told him it was a joke and moved to my door, before I felt a rush and almost lost my balance. Jack picked me up, opened my door, and led me to my bed, kissing me softly until I requested he just stay by my side, so I could sleep easier, nothing more. After awhile I woke up, and he was there, I couldnt believe his face, he looked so calm and serene while asleep, and I went to get him some pie, before I came up and said I had a surprise, and for some reason kissed him and said the pie was for me, before I gave him the pie and he asked me to join him in eating it.

I dont know what was in the food, but maybe it was just the people around me, because after thanksgiving I got a real bad cold. My nose was stuffed up, I couldn't stop sneezing, I had a very high fever, my head hurt everytime I shifted, my ears ringged at even the softest sounds, and I couldn't bring myself to eat any solids. Overall it was just a really bad flu. I could hear Rain and Wind beside me, but everything just tuned out as my focause was on the steam of the tea, but soon I had to put it down because my head was spinning and I was losing conciousness fast. Right as my head hit the pillow I was out, but my sleep was light, from what I susspect was my fever that caused it. Than, all of a sudden I felt a cool feeling rush over me, and I woke up to find Jack by my side. I asked him what he was doing there, shifting to face him, and he moved down to kiss my cheek, and said something like, 'I heard my kitten was sick, what did you think I was going to do?' I said he was going to run away and keep healthy, but he just said he could handle it because he was sick before. I took his hand, he was being so sweet, and he kissed my cheek again before sqeezing my hand. He was being so tender and caring with me, and I felt a little better with him just there to sooth me. I decided to try my luck and sit up, and got a head rush, before I reached for my tea. My fingers shook and I noticed Jack suddenly take the tea away to only hold it to my lips moments later, helping me drink it. He told me it was medicin and that it was to help the headach, as if he knew what was hurting, and also said it helped hangovers. That comment made me stop drinking and I questioned why he would have it for hangovers before licking the spare tea off my lips and waiting for his reply. It was simply a joke, and I was glad he was there with me, it made me feel so much better than before.

So right after he kissed me I asked if he folloed me, and he said he came to swim. I jokingly teleported away to let him have his swim time, to wrap up in my towel and pit my damp hair back up, only to have him speed out and ask if I was mad at him. I was never mad at him, it was a joke, so as a joke back, he threw off my towel, pulled me close and fell back into the water, where I sputtered out and looked accussingly at him. I complained to Jack that I never win with him, and he said that I could if I knew how...so I started to think. I had no face to pout with so I needed to express with actions. So I swam close to him and told him, in a softer voice, I didnt think I could ever win, and than trailed my nails in a pattern over his chest. He kissed me again, and I pulled away, noting the time and telling him we needed to leave. So we walked home, him telling me about his powers, and giving me a lot of attention that I never thought I deserved, before we made it to the house, and I opened the door, to talk to my mom about Jack and I being together.

While I was out one day, I decided to try and get over my fear of water, and went to TF to ask her if there were any hotsprings nearby. As she directed, I took a nice walk towards a nearby hotspring. It was very peaceful, with steamy waters, nice rocks to sit on under the water, and a waterfall. I settled my towel to dry off with on a rock and walked slowly to the waters. I gently dipped my toe in to find it delightfully warm. I moved fully in and right away my tense mucles vanished, and I made my way to a rock by the waterfall. I sighed before suddenly Jack's hands fell to my shoulders, massaging my neck. I purred for a moment before I decided to have some fun. I turned and pulled him into the water, though I had a feeling he let me. Then, I moved away, only to feel his hands run up my hips and shoulder to pull down my bun out. I got goosebumps from where his hands were, and I turned to run my hands up his chest, one trailing around his neck and the other brushing my damp bangs away. It was then he kissed me...he kissed me. My heart soared as he than pulled me close to him.

We sat there in silence for awhile before Jack spoke up, wishing to ask me a question. I told him to ask away, and then e said "Cat...what are your feelings towards me?" That simple question sent millions of thoughts through my head. My heart told me I loved him, but my mind told me that he would run, and I mumbled out my answer. I tried to scoot away but he blocked my path and whispered that he didn't hear. I told him. I told him that he was my everything, that if he died I was not sure I could live on. He said that he loved me, that he loved me, and than he kissed my neck. I mumbled out the question, he loved me? And he said he did, and started to trail kisses down my neck, and than, I told him that I loved him too. He seemed to glow and pulled me closer to him. I guess I please him, but I was telling the truth, he is my one true love.

I knew the burning was something that wasn't right, but I never knew it would lead to me growing into...this body. I can't believe it, my hair is longer, I have grown much taller, and I even have a flower in my hair...just like Jack believed. I went outside with my little siblings, now only Children compared to my adult form, and met up with Iris. We talked and she gave me a gift before we left to find Jack, who I had not seen in a long while. Pausing at the deck, she sang to me for a moment before I had to leave, Rain causing up a storm with her anger. I rushed over there and requested what was wrong, before Jack suddenly sat up behind her, staring at me and asking if it was really 'Catnip'. I asked for Rain to leave us alone for a bit and we talked, Jack saying I looked lovely, might I add. We went to the roof and her pretended to be sick, I guess I should have never told him I would nurse him back to health, and then we went to the ground. I tried to surprise him by covering his eyes, but then he said, 'soft hands, beautiful voice...must be Cat.' He said I had a beautiful voice...then he picked me up to carry me to the cliff where we watch the metors. I cant believe how strong he is. As we walked to the cliff, a peice of his hair fell in his face, and I got the strangest urge to brush it away, so after awhile I did, and I left my hand there. Realizing my mistake I pulled it back, and I knew I was blushing, but Jack did not say anything, just looked at me for a moment. Oh, how I wish I could read his mind, it would make things so much easier. He set me down with myself sitting with my back to his chest, and I looked up just as the sunset started, my hands pulling his to my front so I could hold them.

I dont think I am going to tell Jack this, but...I think I am pregnant...We got married on Christmas day, and I think it happened a few days after. I am not sure, but I want to surprise him, because I want to be the one giving the nice gift to him. I want to wait right until it is a little noticable, but I want to make him really happy. I dont know, when should I tell him. Maybe I should wait until I am completly sure of myself...

So much has happened, and I am so sorry for not writing. You see, I moved in with Jack, and it seems like he is always there by my side, so I have no time alone to write this, not that I am complaining. Jack is just...amazing, he is perfect...and he asked me to marry him. We got married on Christmas, and I wore the dress he gave me. Everything was amazing, and I even decided...I wanted to have kids with him, because I love him, and I want to grow old with him, watching our children run and play. Wind was being on his best behavior, the ring barrer, and Rain was the flower girl, I think she actually is giving Jack a chance. I can't wait for what lies ahead, and what I will discover about the one I love.
