The goddess of archery is named Tera-Ilana and cared for by Drac, her sister, goddess of suffocation, is named Caolan and cared for by me. Aren't they precious?

OOC NOTE:

Gaia has stolen forty plus pages of this journal. I do hope it returns them. In the meantime, I shall try and turn this post into a display area for Ea and his things.

Beryl
Song, it seemed, had become Beryl's new passtime. She sat on her favorite perch, looking out over the water, singing softly to herself. Words didn't seem right today though. Soon the song turned to idle humming, a simple melody for her own ears.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn heard it from the cool green of the forest shadows and immedeately headed towards the source of the sound. He hadn't spoken to Beryl in a while, the call of the forest being too much for him to resist. He was worried about her though - it seemed the other gods had been harrying her again. This, of course, would not do.

He stopped at the edge of the clearing, taking a moment to watch her in happiness. Then he strode out and dropped down next to her.

"Hello Goregous."

Beryl
She started for a moment before a gentle smile tugged at the corners of her mouth. "Hello. Off hunting again?" Her wings rustled a bit, settling lightly against her back.

Eamonn
"You know me. Outdoors rather than in." He whistled lightly under his breath, causing the underbrush near them to wiggle and thrash until Trouble leaped out of it. The cheerful little ball of fur and energy quickly ran over to Beryl, licking her fingers in recognition.

Beryl
She smiled, chuckling a bit. "Hello to you too."

Still smiling and laughing she picked up the cera and placed him on her lap, tickling his belly.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn smiled at the two of them, hating to ruin the scene. Still, he had to make sure Beryl was okay. He ran a nervous hand through his hair, swallowed, and dove in.

"The god I saw you with the other day near here... were you okay?"

Beryl
Her gaze turned to im, looking mystified. "Which god?"

She kept watching his face whiel her hand gently wrestled with the cera, tickling his belly.

Eamnonn
The Hunt closed his eyes, reviewing faces and trying to put a name to one of them.

"Clay...nin?"

Beryl
"Kaelin? Yes, I was fine. Why?" What was wrong? Why did he have that odd look on his face?

Eamnonn
The Hunt's eyes snapped open. "But... but he was touching you! And kissing you! You hate that!"

The tiny bit of Perri that was left in his head was ringing warning bells and trying to calm him at the same time - needless to say, neither were working.

Beryl
Her eyes went wide, looking hurt. Then she felt anger rising but tried to control it.

"Since when do you know everything about me?" She set Trouble down and got to her feet. Wings rustled angrily behind her, almost similar to raised hackles.

Eamnonn
Senseing his namesake, the little Cera bounced over to Eamnonn and scrambled up to his master's shoulder, nimbling his ear in an attempt to calm him.

Eamnonn also stood, wings snapped back in an effort to control himself. "I know how you've always reacted to me!"

Perri was useless now, the Hunt's ultimate worry having swept her away in a sea of dread.

Beryl
"How I've always reacted to you? You used to be horrible to me! I've come to trust you a great deal and I have let you closer than most!" She was rapidly loosing her temper, an angry gust kicking up around them.

Eamnonn
"And yet I'm still at arms length whenever you're upset. Makes sense, if you have someone else to run off to."

He hadn't meant to say that, really. But his worry over seeing her finally slip away pushed the hateful words out of his mouth. He growled at himself, clawing at his arms.

"Dammit, I didn't mean that..."

Beryl
Her eyes went wide, shocked and hurt. Then her temper flared full force. "How DARE you! I have been as accomodating as I could! You nearly killed me TWICE and yet you question why I balk when I'm upset? After what that hell-breed b*****d did to me I shied away from EVERYONE! Not just you! Get over yourself!" The wind was whiping angrily, almost violently. It blew away the tears falling from her eyes before they could leak down her face.

Eamnonn
The Hunt growled again, dropping back down on the ground. Trouble cowered at his neck, not liking this clash of tempers. Eamnonn settled his wings around his shoulders against Beryl's gail.

"I know, gods do I know. I'm sorry, it's just..."

He looked up at his goddess, willing her to answer the way he wanted.

"Do you love Kaelin?"

Beryl
She looked to him, gail dieing down as her temped faded somewhat. She searched her heart, but couldn't give the answer he truely wanted.

"I don't know."

Eamnonn
He nodded absently to himself, petting the mewling Cera. "Do you still love me?"

Beryl
"I ... yes." She couldn't say she was unsure of that too. She did care for him, as much as he kept angering her and playing intermediary with the others. He was just so stffling sometimes.

Eamnonn
He heard the hesitation in her voice. Served him right as usual, he supposed. Eamnonn stood, stepping near and wrapping his arms lightly around her waist.

"Tell me you're done with me and I'll go."

Beryl
She didn't shy at the touch, didn't flinch, didn't move away. She looked hurt, almost more so than after she'd been assaulted. "Why? Is that what you want me to stay?"

Her voice was trembling slightly. She didn't know what to do. So many things had happened and she kept getting confronted with all these situations, these problems. Itw as a wonder she hadn't gone to bits yet.

Eamnonn
He sighed, resting his forehead against hers. "No, of course not. It's just... well, I seem to be tuned towards monogamy. A mate and such. At some point a long time ago it became clear that that was you. Hence the chasing all the time."

He grinned tiredly to himself. "Besides, I'm not good at sharing."

Beryl
"I just don't know. I ... there's just too much." Her voice was strained, face wrinkled up as she tried not to cry, hand gripping the hair at the side of her head. There was just so much and not enough time to sort through it all.

Eamnonn
Pulling back a little to look at her, the Hunt gently took her hand off of her hair and massaged it. Poor thing. She was stretched too tight.

"I'm sorry to have been a cause of grief for you. I'll be good, I promise: no whining, or maiming of other suitors. All choices are yours. You already know which one I've made."

Grinning rogueishly, he winked at her. "I've never tried a tried a threesome before, and Kaelin is an attractive lad."

Beryl
She actually gave a choked laugh at that. His hand felt nice in her hair, finding herself leaning into the touch. She didn't really plan the next words that came tumbling out of her mouth. "He might actually like that. Seems he leans either way."

She managed a small smile, trying to keep his hand in her hair. His fingers were cool and felt so nice just then. "I'm sorry, there's just so much and I don't know how to handle all of it."

Eamnonn
Eamnonn chuckled, shaking his head. "Clearly, I am an old fashioned stick in the mud - or at least I am if that means what I think it means. Having random access to Perri's memories can make life rather confusing."

He obediently continued his work, dropping a light kiss on her head. "Your life continues to be too hectic. If there's anything I can do to help, please tell me."

Beryl
She chuckled a bit, leaning into his chest. There was a tease to be had. "You know, I do believe I've got mroe than enough talent to keep you both busy." Somehow she managed that with a straight face.

Sighing softly her eyes closed as his hand kept musing her hair. "For now just don't stop that, it feels nice."

Eamnonn
Eamnonn paused for a moment, enjoying the mental image Beryl's words had just conjured up. He coughed a bit. "Perhaps, but I'm still a greedy child by nature."

He moved his massage to her neck. "Yes m'lady. Your stable boy is always happy to serve."

Beryl
She could tell what that cough was about and coudln't help but grin. "What? You're doubting my skill?" Her tone was deliberately teasing.

A shiver ran down her spine when he started on the back of her neck, making her sqeak softly.

Eamnonn
He grinned to himself about her squeak and managed to keep his tone light. "If you do other physical activities anything like you fight, well..."

Eamnonn methodically worked on the knots of muscle in her neck and shoulders, amazed at how much tension she'd managed to collect.

Beryl
She was about to respond when his hands started moving around her back, making her shiver again. The muscles were in tight knots, wings flickering a bit about the touches arund the bases. The knots were almost rock hard.

Eamnonn
He could feel his own muscles tightening as he attempted to loosen hers, physically transfering Beryl's stress to himself.

"My lord woman - do you ever rest?"

Beryl
"Ummm, yes?" She sounded like a guilty child when a parent asked in their vegtables were gone.

As he continued the gentle kneeding on her back her arms snaked around his waist, resting there lightly.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn scoffed, taking a moment to shake out his aching arms before resuming his work. "Two ten minute naps a day do not count. Honestly, if you need some time to relax, use the pool in my room. I'm never in there anymore, and it automatically lets you in and out anyway. Use my indoor glade as a hideaway when you need it."

Beryl
"So that's why I never see you." he voice was soft, staying still through the treatment. Bit by bit her wings relaxed, her back slowly following. Still, there was a bit of ... something ... in her voice. Was it regret?

Eamnonn
Ha! The Hunt had never met a back he couldn't massage into submission. "I'm not an inside creature, especially since the outside is so beautiful these days. Besides," he nuzzled her head affectionately. "You're the only one I ever seem to interact well with, and even that I've managed to ruin on numerous occasions."

He sighed, kissing where he had nuzzled. "I'm sorry I haven't been around, beautiful. It's just that sometimes you seem to be the only reason I stay, and even then I suspect your life would be easier if I wasn't underfoot."

Beryl
"That's not true. Sometimes you're the only one there who seems to understand me." She sighed softly, a gentle breeze stirring against Eamnonn's skin. It seemed her powers were still gorwing.

Eamnonn
The Hunt's hands stilled for a moment, before pulling her into a warm hug. "You have no idea how wonderful it is to hear you say that, jewel."

Beryl
She oofed slightly at the hug, chuckling a bit and snuggling close. "This is the Ea I've missed."

She smiled, gently returning the hug.

Eamnonn
He chuckled, nuzzling and kissing her. "If I had a tail, I'd be wagging it."

Beryl
She pulled back a bit, not letting go of his waist, looking him square in the eye. "So that's why your rear is moving back and forth."

Eamnonn
"Yes. Psychological transference." He blinked innocently at her. "Either that or a groovy dance beat has started up."

Beryl
"Oh dear. I think I should get myself a bit of room from you before you start acting more like a wolf than a man." Chuckling a bit she made small attempts to wriggle out of his hold.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn rolled his eyes, pulling her closer. "Lady Wind, you have it all wrong. I am not a man that turns into a wolf." He nipped at her chin. "I am a wolf that occassionally amuses itself by pretending to be a man."

Beryl
Her eyes went wide, yelping a bit at the sudden n** on her chin. "Uh oh! I should have known!"

Laughing she renewed her efforts to get loose. Wriggling free she immediately started running down the path, feet fleet over the ground, seeming to almost never touch.

Eamnonn
The laughing Hunt gave chase, barely noticing the Cera claws that dug into his neck as his pet tried to hold on.

"Why must all gods who inhabit the forests be forced to chase their maidens down?"

Beryl
"Because we're too smart to stay still!" Laughing she started to run faster. Her feet only a blur over the ground.

Eamnonn
The Hunt grinned to himself - and disappeared into the forest. Swarming up a tree and moving silently from branch to branch, he tracked his quarry from above.

Beryl
She looked behind her, then stopped in confusion. Uhoh. Where was he?

She slowly turned on the spot, listening intently.

Eamnonn
He loved it when they stayed still. Placing Trouble in the tree branches carefully - the Cera knew these woods possibly better than Eamnonn - the Hunt leapt towards his prey.

Beryl
Beryl's back was to him. Not hearing a sound. She was stock still.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn landed just behind her and scooped the goddess off her feet. "Fancy meeting you here!"

Beryl
She yelped, immediately trying to get her wings free. "EEEP! You cad!"

Laughing she was still trying to get free, panic tossed aside the second after it had flashed throug her system. She was getting better. The grin of her face was proof.

Eamnonn
He chuckled, tickling her where he could with his arms full of her squirming body. "Cad? Is that all you can come up with? Cad? This rogue is insulted!"

Beryl
"Then be so!" Laughing she tried buffeting him with her wings to get him to let go. This was a game she handn't played in ages.

Eamnonn
He sniffed unconvincingly. "You're so cruel!" He was not letting her go any time soon.

Beryl
She just laughed, attempting to tickle his sides from where she was held.

Eamnonn
Instead of evading her, Eamnonn pulled her in closer and placed a kiss on her lips.

Beryl
That took her by surprise. Still, she managed to squirm a bit after a few moments of kissing back, hands pinned between them.

Eamnonn
Smiling a little at her squirming, the Hunt sat slowly and lay back on the ground, pulling the goddess on top of him. Somehow, he managed to not to break the kiss during all that.

Beryl
She made a soft "meep" at being pulled over, eyes wide. Her wings up they flapped a bit, trying to gain room to pull her up. Her hands remained pinned.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn loosened his grip so Beryl could free her hands, moving his to lightly massage the joint where her wings met her back. He grinned at her.

"So... about these talents you were bragging about earlier?"

Beryl
When his hands started on her wings she gave a small gasp, shivernig. "You presume a bit to think I would perform on demand."

Her voice was still quavering a bit around the shivers. Her wings flared, feathers out on end. Damn him knowing that touch point!

Eamnonn
Eamnonn shrugged, hands trailing over her back and wings. "No, just curious as to what they are exactly."

Beryl
She continued to shiver, though her wriggling became a bit stronger as she acclimated. "And you think me the type to tell?"

Eamnonn
"No my dear." The Hunt kissed her jaw line, rubbing her wing joint again. "I'd prefer if you showed me."

Beryl
She shivered again, wings caught half open. Her eyes closed halfway. Rather than talking she gave a slight shake of her head, not trusting her voice.

Eamnonn
"Oh, come now." The Hunt teased her, pinching gently and rubbing. "I've done the same for you."

Beryl
She winced at the pinch, squirming more and shaking her head again. Her outstretched wings flapped again, sending a swirl of loose blooms into the air.

Eamnonn
The Hunt sighed, rolling his eyes and slowly sliding his hands down to her waist. "Oh fine. Spoil sport."

There were, of course, other things to do when lying on the ground with a beautiful woman on top of you. With a wicked grin, Eamnonn tickled her sides as furiously as he could. "Gotcha!" He laughed.

Beryl
With a yelp she started wriggling around, trying to catch his hands and stop the tickling.

"Ea! Stop it!" She was laughing so hard tears were coming from her eyes.

Eamnonn
He grinned, not stilling his hands. "You've woken a monster! The only way to stop it is to escape."

Beryl
She was laughing too hard to reply. After a few minutes of relentless torture she simply collapsed on top of him, panting for breath, shivering and giggling from tiem to time.

Eamnonn
Now this was more like it! Switching back to massaging, the Hunt's hands moved lower again, skating towards Beryl's rump. He knew she didn't like her butt being pinched, but... he could always claim it was an accident, couldn't he? Something impish inside Eamnonn pushed his hand lower and squeezed, locking his mouth on hers at the same time.

Beryl
Her eyes shot open shivering hard and giving a small gasp. Reflex made her hand on Ea's shoulder grip and her body tensing and arching. The motion pulled her away from the hand and closer to Ea. Her mind unable to process the action fast enough.

Eamnonn
Momentarily thrown by the lack of attack, Ea lay still, almost as suprised as Beryl. He recovered quickly though, taking her reaction as encouragement and trailing his one of hands to her thighs The other crept upwards an between them, seeing how far it could get. The kiss continued, deepening.

Beryl
Beryl's eyes shut tight, shivering harder than ever. Her attempts to get away from the wandering hand pressed her closer to Eamnonn. Her hand gripped harder as his started wandering from her stomach.

Eamnonn
Worry quickly gave way to lust, and Eamnonn continued his explorations. Murmuring something into Beryl's mouth, one hand slipped between her legs as the other reached her chest. The Hunt had ceased to think.

Beryl
Her eyes flew open again with a cry into Eamnonn's mouth. In the blink of an eye she was gone, bursting into to wind, reforming further down the path. She ran down the path as fast as her feet could carry her. There were tears streaming from her eyes as she ran. There was no one would could catch her now.

How could he?

Eamnonn
Eamnonn blinked, looked around, and realized what he had done. He lay back in defeat, smacking himself on the forehead.

"********."
Eamnonn
It was suprisingly hard to stop Trouble from following him every where. The little Cera was not so little anymore, and at some point had decided to exchange chewing his master to bits constantly for only doing so occassionally and spending the rest of his time exploring the wilds on Eamnonn's shoulder. He was a good hunter, but sometimes the Hunt didn't want every bird within a mile to lie silent for fear of its life. His was a crafty pet, which while making him proud of the ball of fluff, also made getting a day to himself a bit difficult. It had taken an hour, three false starts, and a large bowl of chicken porridge to win Ea this solitary day out, and even now he found his head trying to turn him around to make sure he wasn't being followed. Ah well. Trouble was one of the more entertaining gifts he had ever recieved.

He had been walking for quite some time, staying on the ground for the most part, and was now deep within the primeval depths of the forest. The air was dark and moist, smelling of a decay so rich it spoke of life, and impressing on the God how very much alone he was. Good. He needed to get back to his non-human roots. He was hunting, but not for food. Dressed in nothing but a deerskin loincloth and his hunting knife, Ea was out on a search for a little calm and peace.

Beryl
Beryl's moods had been turning darker lately when she wasn't paying attention. Odd times she'd catch herself doing things and not remember starting them. A bit of feralness had started to share her soul.

The goddess sat silently on her perch. She knew Eamnonn's habits. She knew his tastes. The snares were set, waiting to catch their prey.

Keen eyes watched silently from the shadowy figure.

Eamnonn
The Hunt was tired, although even he shouldn't have been that tired. Considering his title, Eamnonn should have been able to sense the traps and Beryl easily. As it was, he simply strolled on, noting nothing out of the ordinary. It was shaping up to be avery good day.

Beryl
One more step. Just one more step and his legs would be caught. And so would he.

She edged forward on her perch, coloring greyed and shadowed. Her wings had taken a darker look, cyan lighting the tips. Her eyes were no longer violet by the cyan of a winter-bright sky. She seemed almost the reverse of herself on first glance. If anyone could actually see air.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn paused for a moment, taking in the forest. It seemed to waiting for something. Odd.

He stepped forward, directly into the trap. Never saw it coming.

Beryl
Her wings flared in response to the snare firing. Staying still she decided to watch his reaction for a moment before pouncing. Her appearance was well hidden in the filter-lit trees and the shadows. Nothing to give her away.

Eamnonn
He swore. The snare caught his foot, and like the simplest catch for a rabbit snapped him upwards., knocking his head against the ground on the rebound. Slightly dazed and very pissed off at himself, the Hunt hung upside down a few feet from the ground and began to examine the catch on his ankle.

Beryl
There was a very predatory grin on her face. Yes, he was her's now. He was dazed, confused, and out of sorts. So easy. But she'd let him test things a bit. As soon as he dropped. Yes, that was when.

Eamnonn
The trouble with rope was that it was ludicrously easy to cut. A quick slash with his hunting knife and he slammed into the ground. Ea was dizzy but on his feet in an instant, knife at the ready.

Someone was hunting him.

Beryl
She grinned.

In a heartbeat she was on the ground, behind him, one arm holding his to his sides, keeping the hand with the knife still, the other clapping over his mouth. Still grinning she brought her wings around to keep him still. Just perfect.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn's brain stopped, but not because he was caught. Because Beryl was the one holding him.

He tried to say something to the effect of, "Beryl, what the hell do you think you're doing?" but it came out "Bwmffmmff!"

Beryl
This was working out well. Careful to twist his wrist just enough to get him to drop the knife she let go, spun him around, and held tight again. Her appearance was much more wild with the change in coloring. Her hair fell in locks around her, hanging down more than it had.

The look on her face was defiantely odd.

She made sure to silence him in the simpliest way possible. Kissing him, hard. Her wings kept him from moving too much, leaving her hands free to bind his behind his back.

Eamnonn
Continuing to be utterly confused, the Hunt did little to stop her. The feel from his hand, luckily missing his foot, and he spun in her arms easily. When she kissed him, Ea began to suspect that he was dreaming. He had to be. Beryl would never normally grab him and fall on him like a ravening beast - she only did that at night in his fantasies. There she did it a lot.

Not much caring if this were a dream or not, he decided to participate. He went to wrap his arms around her, but found his hands tied behind his back. What in the-?

Beryl
She pulled back long enough to grin and lay a finger on his lips before kicking his feet out from under him. There was still enough concern to make sure he didn't land on the blade. That she picked up and threw at the nearest tree where it landed and stuck with an ominous thunk.

She crouched over him, straddling his legs, puttnig a firm hand over his mouth. There was defiantely a predatory sense coming from her reflected in the palid blue that had become her eyes.

Eamnonn
Growling when he hit the ground, Eamnonn cocked an eyebrow as Beryl climbed on top of him. She looked very different from her normal self, not to mention how she was acting. Something was wrong.

Was she possessed? Who knew. Still... considering the situation he wasn't exactly complaining...

Mmm, Beryl on top of him. He nipped at her hand, wanting another kiss.

Beryl
The hand over his mouth pressed down a bit harder, a smirk crossing her face. She looked haunted, and not by something benevolent. The way he was reacting was rather amusing.

One hand started skittering down his side, light and teasing as she leaned close to his neck. Smiling to herself she blew pure ice lightly against his skin.

Eamnonn
There was something in her eyes. He tried to ask her what was wrong-

-but his body distracted his mind too quickly. He pressed himself against her where he could, biting her hand harder.

Beryl
She actually hissed, feeling his fangs cut into her palm. Pulling her hand back she returned the favor, biting his neck. Her wings had fanned out over him. Much like a bird of prey over it's kill.

Eamnonn
He gasped, half in pain and half in delight. There was always something sexual for him in biting and blood. Carefully working on getting his wrist free from his bindings, as having Beryl perch on him with them behind him was creating a slow burn in his shoulders, the Hunt licked the blood from her palm.

Beryl
Her bleeding hand moved to the side of his face, carefully gripping around his ear. Anger abated slightly she let go of his neck, pressing him down into the ground slightly. Or atleast as much as an added bit of wind pressure could do.

Her hand resumed it's explorings over his side, steadily gettign closer to his hip.

Eamnonn
Kissing her hand as it moved away, the Hunt watched the woman pressing down on him in amazement.

"Beryl... what in the world are you doing?"

Beryl
"Quiet." The word was growled out as an order. She moved, biting down on his throat around his adam's apple. Hard.

Blue hair fell across his face when she moved, the scent distinctly different. Rather than the light breeze it held the tone of damp, still air over a marsh. Barely moving, and very wild. Her hand stopped it's wanderings, gripping his side just enough where her nails were starting to press into his flesh.

Eamnonn
His back arched with the bite and the clawing, and the Hunt snapped at her head to get her to move off his throat. No tearing it out, thanks. Something was definately up. It was bad. And good. Well, not good precisely, more sexy and wonderful and-

Damn it! This was confusing!

Beryl
Her hand tightened around his ear to hold his head still. She growled into the bite, pressing just hard enough his breathing would be restricted. It seemed her entire body was tensing. Nails were dangerously close to breaking skin and her grip on him snugged. Her knees were pressing hard against his hips, constricting.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn stilled, growling under his breath. The wolf in him really didn't appreciate teeth on his windpipe.

Beryl
She growled in response, giving one more tensing of the bite before letting go. Seeing a slight swelling she grinned, blowing cold air on his neck. Her hand played with his side.

Eamnonn
He watched skeptically, rolling his burning shoulders to cover up his hand working itself free underneath him.

What was she up to?

Beryl

She felt the change in posture when he freed his hand. That wouldn't do.

It took a mere moment for her to pull another piece of rope from her belt and flip Eamnonn on his stomach. So that way of tieing didn't suit him? She retied his hands so they were stuck by his sides, rather than behind him.

Grinning at the work she let her nails trail down his back.

Eamnonn
Ea was not appreciative of being bound again, but at least this way would be more comfortable.

He growled when she scaped his back, too worried about her to enjoy this anymore.

"Beryl, get off me."

Beryl
"Why?" There was no emotion in her voice. The hand that had played with his back moved, gently tracing the shell of his ear. She didn't budge.

Eamnonn
"Because this isn't you." Ea looked over his shoulder at her, clearly not pleased. "Get off me before you do something you'll regret."

Beryl
"You don't know me as well as you think you do." Her voice was a whisper, finger lightly tracing his cheek. Then she grinned, the expression not carrying to her eyes.

She got off him, only to pull the rope so he was pulled up as well, kneeling with his back pressed against her. She wrapped her arms around him, letting her hands wander, nipping at his neck.

Eamnonn
He hissed, having a hard to focusing on protesting.

"I don't, Jewel? This from the girl who goes poof at the threat of a little heavy petting?"

Beryl
She smiled against his neck. "The old me."

With that she bit his neck, hands wandering dangerously low. And then lower. Her skin was cool, almost like solid fog.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn froze. That sounded ominous.

"What do you mean the old-" He froze again, this time due to cold hands in new places.

"Um, Beryl honey, could you please warn me when you plan to do that?"

He had to stop this. Really. He did. Five more minutes.

Beryl
She grinned that predator's grin. "Now where would the fun be in that?" Biting on the tip of his ear she kept her hands wandering where he reacted the most. Her wings flared, taking the "this is my kill, back off" possition again.

Eamnonn
Oh... ******** me.

"Beryl. Off. Now." The Hunt had had enough.

Beryl
"Fine." The word was snapped out. With the flick of a hand the ropes were severed by a cutting wind. She was back, on her feet and walking away. Her entire posture was different. More aloof, superior, cold.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn stood, collected his knife, and went after her. He leapt in front of her, arms crossed over his chest.

"What's wrong?"

Beryl
"Nothing." Looking irritated she shoved him aside and kept walking. At least for a few yards.

It felt like someone was trying to split her head open. Body shaking her hands went to her head.

Eamnonn
"Beryl!" he flew the distance between them and landed, grabbing her and turning her to face him. Eamnonn spoke softly, worried. "Talk to me, please."

Beryl
"Get away from me. Far away. NOW!" Her eyes were shut tight. It looked like it was taking everything she had not to literally fly appart at the seams. A gale was steadily building.

Eamnonn
He was confused, the air pressure making his neck prickle and all his instincts cream about getting away.

"What?"

The instincts broke through. He fled.

Beryl
She sank to her knees, shaking violently. It was no use. With a scream that could have carried for miles everything shattered, winds the force of a tornado ripping through the landscape.

It lasted only a few minutes, but the silence afterwards was deafening. For a full halfmile around where she'd been the landscape was flattened. Beyond that trees bent at unnatural angles, limbs and bark stripped. There was nothing to be seen of her.
Byrne
He had ascertained that a change of perspective might be needed. He changed his own by simply standing on his head and staring at the doors still. They certainly looked different that way...

Eamnonn
The Hunt trudged towards the main building, chewing thoughtfully on a rabbit. He really needed to talk to Beryl, and hopefully she would be in. He pushed through the front door, nodding to the firery god standing on his head.

"Byrne."

Halfway up the stairs, the oddness hit him, and he returned to the main room.

"Byrne... what are you doing?"

Byrne
Byrne wiggled his toes in approximation of a hello. He was still rather miffed at Ea for some reason or other that he couldn't remember at the time, but he also couldn't remember he WAS rather miffed, so his greeting was as friendly as a pair of toes could be.

"My 'possum Flynn can hang upside down from a tree." he told Ea wisely. "I can't though. But Im trying to make my room. I thought maybe Flynn would have some ideas so Im standing on my head."

Eamnonn
"Oh. Of course."

He had never quite figured out how to deal with Byrne, not being a people person for the most part and generally being confused by the other god on principle. Still, Ea remembered him as being amusing, and that made him worth trying to figure out.

"I think opossums do it by using their tail, though."

Byrne
He nodded in a fashion he considered knowing. "Yes. A nice long one!" He wiggled his tail wistfully. "no feathers though. Mine's not long enough." He let himself tumble to the ground in a heap and straightened into a lotus position. "Beryl was trying to help too. But she didn't have to stand on her head."

Eamnonn
"That's nice of her. What did she do?"

While he talked, the Hunt looked at the ceiling of the room thoughtfully. It was a pity there were no rafters - at least them they could've hung from their legs.

Byrne
"Oh!" he fumbled at his neck and pulled the sketches from them. "She said all sorts of things, like nests and water where my fish could splash about and said my doors are nice!" he beamed. "Do you like them? Harmodious made them for me!" he pointed to the bronze edifices.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn nodded in agreement, knowing few had his complete devotion to living surroundings. "They're lovely."

He glanced at the sketches, liking Beryl's ideas. "Actually, if you need help with any natural decor, I could probably lend a hand. My room is a full glade with grass, trees, and spring fed bathing pool."

Byrne
He looked intrigued. "She wanted to put my fish in the wall." he noted wisely. "I want them to have room to play, but not so I can get wet." He pointed to the sketch, upside down as it was. "she said the nest would be high, but not so high that Buttercup wouldn't like it. I like it high, though." he frowned at the dilemma. He didn't want his fridge falling and getting hurt. "I like grasses and trees. Big trees. big, big ones."

Eamnonn
He nodded, not really understanding what the other god was talking about, but too amused to care.

"Well, if you put them in the fish in the wall, all across the wall, they'd have plenty of room to play and you wouldn't get wet. Especially if you grew a big tree in the center of the room, and you lived in a nest at the top and... Buttercup had her own level a little further down where it was safe for her."

Byrne
"Glass." he repeated "glaaaaass" he tasted the word a bit. "Sounds like a sheep."

It didn't look like one though. Perhaps a distant cousin race. Could one make clothing from it?

Getting up, he padded to where Ea pointed and tapped on it for a few moments, considering. "hm."

He would have to think on that, as hard as thinking was. Glass.

"What tree is big?" he asked, turning back to Ea. "with lots of nests in it."

Eamnonn
The Hunt considered this, trying to think of the best type of tree to recommend.

"Do you want a tree with leaves or a tree with pinecones?"

Byrne
"Yes." he answered without hesitation.

Eamnonn
Eamnonn chuckled. "Right, a magical tree it is then. Mix a beech tree, a maple tree, and Douglass fir tree. That's what you want."

Beryl
He wrote that down, or tried to. The words looked rather scary once they were connected letter by letter. But he beamed at them anyway, and they beamed back at him.

Jumping up, he hugged Eamnonn, ire forgotten. "Thank you!"

Eamnonn
The Hunt tensed for a moment, instincts telling him to defend himself before he realized was getting hugged. Oh, okay. He hugged Byrne back gently.

"Sure thing. Do you want me to talk to Harmodious about the tree for you? I bet he could make it."

Byrne
Hm. "MMmh." he repeated aloud. "Could you?" he looked at the beaming letters and didn't remember that they actually should have made words. Instead they just...beamed. "I bet he could!"

Eamnonn
"I can. I'll ask him about it as soon as I see him, okay?"

Eamnonn smiled at the other god, patting him on the shoulder. He'd make a mention of the fish tank too.

--to be concluded--
Is was an odd few days, to say the very least. Looking after an unconcious Beryl who needed medical attention while being tied to the floor was a new and disturbing experience. It made him think too much.

When he changed her dressings and cleaned her wounds, Eamnonn's thoughts strayed to Kaelin, a rival the green god was sure he'd lost Beryl to. He was a decent enough fellow, if a bit wet (Damn Perri and her implanted need to pun!), and clearly cared about her. But thinking about him while tending to Beryl made a hollow ache start in his chest and growl to rise in his throat, so Eamnonn forced his thoughts in other directions. Beryl needed food.

The Hunt spent an entire hour trying to puzzle out hoe to get food and liquid down Beryl's gullet without waking her up, and ended up pretty empty handed. In the end, he resigned himself to making sure she was watered, had a little willow bark tea everday, and swallowed some broth. She was going to require fullout grazing when she woke up...

More wound cleaning, more poultice making for the wing that Eamononn felt responsible for every time he cared for it. She always bled around him, didn't she? Come to think of it, he bled quite a bit around her too, but he'd always seen that as a natural part of life. Why would you have blood if not to bleed occassionally? It was an odd thought, perhaps, but not a suprsing one for the Hunt to have. Still, while his and his prey's bleeding had never bothered him, Bery's did. The Wind was not supposed to injure.

That day's work and thoughts done, Eamnonn relaxed n his bathing pool, making a point to stare out the window and not at Beryl's bound and sleeping form. He was hungry, but had to wait until Trouble returned to have a meager dinner. He didn't want to leave his charge alone to hunt, since he knew he would get distracted and be gone longer than he meant to. He could have gone and found meat in the compound's kitchen, surely, but a god had his pride and Eamnonn would not eat what he hadn't killed these days. So he waited for a large catlike beast that resembled a red and black raccoon with a taste for songbirds to bring him dinner. The Hunt would probably be forced to go out tomorrow, his high metabolism already screaming for more food.

It was all a mess, and he didn't know how to fix it. Beryl was falling into some horrible past and another man's arms, and Ea wasn't even sure he disliked said man. And despite this chain events, which he should have been fighting tooth and nail all the way, he found the pull of the forest night irresistible and could get lost there happily for hours. Things were changing, and he didn't like them.

Trouble brought back three doves. Eamnonn went to bed hungry.

It was an odd few days, to say the very least.

Episode 1

Eamnonn had never truly grasped the human concept of feeling naked. He was comfortable in his skin, whether it be a temporary borrowing of Perri's flesh or his current camoflauged and winge'd form. To this day he wore clothing merely for the convience of others, and when alone stripped down to a loincloth. Wolves and deer wore only their skin - why should the Hunt act any differently than the participants? At that exact moment, though, standing loincloth and hunting knife-clad in front of an unfamiliar human female, male, and dog-like thing, he understood feeling exposed and vulnerable due to lack of attire. Today would have been a day to wear pants.

Their... dog, for lack of a better word, was first to approach, and by its smell Eamnonn suspected it might actually be a zombie dog called back from the dead to do their bidding. It ran up to him, barking, and narrowly missed smashing head-on into the Hunt's leg due to a lucky trajectory. Circling back, he barked and growled, trying to smell the intruder over his own personal stink. The Hunt growled back. The dog fled.

Jerry eyed this newcomer suspiciously, trying to decide whether to shoot or ask questions first. It seemed human, animal, and plant all at the same time, which was plenty to confuse him into glaring and clutching his rifle meaningfully without being able to decide what to do. God confrontation was not something he had experience with.

His daughter Liza, perhaps spurred by superior intellect or simply a mall-lover's wish to avoid extending her time in the woods, put her hands on her hips and spoke. "Who'er you?"

Eamnonn thought, trying to choose the best response from a list of one known and many unknown, eventually giving up and going for what he had. "My name is Eamnonn."

Jerry frowned at the foreign and hard-to-spell-sounding name. "What're you?"

This... this was a more difficult question to answer. He had a distinct feeling, left over from Perri, that saying he was a god probably wouldn't make things go smoothly. Was there anything else to respond with?

"I'm... male?" the Hunt tried. The man's eyes narowed more. Eamnonn suspected they were now shut.

"Not a fan of clothes, huh?" Liza leered, grinning, and Ea was greatful for her sarcasm. That he knew how to respond to.

"They're difficult to navigate, what with the wings." The humans looked suspicious. Oops.

"What wings?" Jerry asked, tightening his grip on his gun. Eamnonn sighed.

"Promise not to shoot them?" The man blinked.

"What?"

"I'll show you my wings if you promise to to shoot them. They're a real pain to heal." No pun intended. Perri wisp, you aren't funny.

Jerry and Liza glanced at each other, banding together due to unfamiliar territory. She shrugged and nodded. They turned back to Eamnonn.

The man raised is gun to his shoulder. "Show 'em slowly."

That was not a promise to deny bodily harm, but since it was nearly an assurance that a shooting would occur if the wings weren't unveiled, Eamnonn sighed and did as he was bid, crossing his arms when his leafy appendages were fully extended from his shoulder blades.

"See?"

The humans stared in silence. The god rolled his eyes. "May I lower them now?"

Jerry nodded, and Liza gave him a rather shrewd once-over. "Are you a nymph?"

Eamnonn snorted in disgust. "Nymphs are girls. I am not girl."

"Are you an Ent?"

Both the Hunt and Jerry looked confused and managed to chorus, "What's an Ent?" Although it didn't work perfectly as their diction was rather dissimilar.

Liza stamped her foot in annoyance. "I just want to know why you're a tree!"

"I'm not a tree!"

"You look like one! You even have leaves!"

"Those are wings, girly. The rest of it is camoflauge."

To demonstrate, the Hunt faded into the background. Jerry's drooping shotgun was remembered and aimed where Eamnonn had been. "Come back here!"

"I am here." Eamnonn said, still not visible.

"An invisble talking tree!" Jerry muttered. The Hunt chuckled.

"No, not invisible." He took one step to the side, and the gun muzzle jerkily followed his fluid blur of movement. "Camoflauged." Eamnonn faded back into the foreground. Liza was facinated.

"But human eyesight isn't based on movement. We should be able to see you when you're still too."

The Hunt shook his head, switching into a lecture mode he had inherited from the leftovers of Perri's brain. "Think of it more like military camo, just built into my skin. It's based on two principals: first that erratic color patterns can be used to break up a distintive shape of an object that would normally be recognized by the brain, and second that human mind has a tendency to look through or past things it labels as 'background'."

The girl nodded thoughfully, her bleached pigtails bouncing. She seemed worth talking to once something interested her, even if she had been attacked by maurading clowns and forcefully face-painted. And as for complaining about his lack of clothing, well... perhaps she ought to go find more of her own before she sniped at other people.

Still looking at Eamnonn like he was Jerry's own personal devil, the man shook his gun and yelled. "Enough fancy talk! Tells us what you are!"

The Hunt sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. Liza looked vaguely like she sympathized with him. "I am a god."

Both humans looked incredulous. "You're God?"

"No, not 'God'. A god. Small 'g,' far less influence. God of the Hunt, specifically."

They clearly did not believe him.

"I'm clearly not human, right?"

Jerry spat. "That's for damn sure."

"And I'm not a tree."

"I suppose." sighed Liza.

"But I have wings, very good natural camoflauge, and plenty of other traits you two don't happen to know about." Eamnonn crossed his arms over his chest, raising his chin in a challenge to them to contradict him. "Why can't I be a god?"

Father a daughter considered this, father speaking first. "Because!"

"I don't know daddy-" Liza began, but Jerry cut her off.

"Oh shush girl! You don't know what you're talking about!"

Normally, Liza would have done what she was told and forgotten about the whole thing. But Eamnonn had got her thinking, and she was in no mood to embarassed in front of a possible god by her father.

"I know more than you, Dad! Besides, you of all people should be happy to meet a hunting god!"

Watching the family squabble over him begin in ernest, Eamnonn took the opportunity provided by a distracted father and daughter and ran. He was long overdue to look in on Beryl, and still hadn't managed to get food for himself. Damn woods. They were so distracting!

Still... they were interesting people. The Hunt would have to look on them again, this time hopefully unseen. Trouble would have to stay behind, of course, as the man would certainly try to kill him. That would be easier said than done once his pet smelt them all on him, but Eamnonn liked a challenge.

Speaking of smelling... after that dog the Hunt needed a bath.

Eamnonn sighed happily, glad to be clean. Climbing out of his bathing pool, he stretched out on the grass in front of it, pushing the thoughts that Beryl had been bound there recently out of his mind. He couldn't think about Beryl anymore. He just made things worse. He wished, just a little, that Perri were still with him. At least she'd warned him when he was going about things with Beryl completely wrong. Now the Hunt was on his own, and very, very lost.

User ImageKaelin slid out of his rooms. He had run back last night to be with Morph but made his way back this morning to pack up the very last of his stuff. Rolling his eyes upward he stretched his body, the blue-stained button up he was wearing rose up to show off his pale blue splashed white skin. Dropping his arms he rolled his head and caught site of Ea's door, he froze.

Ea had promised to take care of Beryl, and hadn't fed her, and she looked like she hadn't had a bath either. He thinned his lips into a line, deciding that someone needed to say something about it to him and he doubted anyone else knew. Putting his hands into his cargo pant pockets he slunk along the hallway pausing in front of the door wondering whether or not he could just get in. He lifted his hand and rapped on the door instead, deciding that invading a person's privacy was not the best way to start this conversion... assuming the Hunt was in...

Arranging his wings over his back in a vague attempt at modesty, Eamnonn sighed and called towards the door, "Come in!"

User ImageKaelin pushed the door open and was again struck by the beauty of Ea's rooms. He breathed in the fresh air, though not as humid as his own rooms he still felt very comfortable in here. He made sure the door shut behind him before giving the Hunt his full attention.. "Hello Hunt.." Kaelin's voice was rather cool, his eyes looked as if he was weighting his words very carefully, "I believe we need to have a talk..."

Eamnonn looked up and resisted the urge to growl. He didn't like Kaelin's tone, and wasn't particularly glad to see him in general, but had decided to try and play nice with him.

"Will this require me to be clothed?"

User ImageKaelin made a rather vague gesture with his hand, flicking it up and to the side "Your clothes or lack thereof don't bother me Eamnonn, what does is your lack of responsibility. You gave me your word you would take care of the Lady when I left her with you." Kaelin dropped his hand back to his side, his tone was cool, but trying to remain neutral. He was trying not to sound like he was being to accusitory. "I came to check on her and she hadn't eaten, she was ravenous, and she didn't look like she had been bathed either. I untied her, so she could care for herself after she gave me her word she wouldn't hurt herself anymore."
