Welcome to Spring's Grotto!

You find yourself in a beautiful sheltered lagoon. On all sides are high walls of rock and coral, tumbled smooth over the years by countless waves. Below is a white sand bottom dotted with beautiful shells and various things humans have thrown away, now recycled as interesting toys.
On one side of the grotto is a centuries-old shipwreck. It is mostly holes now and a favorite hiding spot for delicious baby octopi. Who knows what treasures Everblue children past have hidden away in there?
Across from that is a small but deep trench. It looks dark and good for games of Sardine or Dare. It must be safe or the adults wouldn't let you stay in here with it. It probably only has a few eels in it... and some little sharks... and maybe ghosts...
A majestic coral dominates the third side of the lagoon. It is full of fascinating tiny wildlife and loops and curls perfect for swimming through. If you hold still and watch it maybe some of the more beautiful sea anemones will forget you are there and open so you can watch the clownfish.
On the last side is a rock wall with a large tunnel in it. One of the adults, perhaps Squall or Arthas, lies snoozing in it. You can go out there and join the rest of the pod when you're older. For now the adults will stay there and defend you from anything that tries to enter.
Rules for Spring's Grotto (and RPing in general)

The most important thing to remember for Spring's Grotto is:
User Image

That's right! Spring's Grotto is for Everblue children alone! Only GMs or parents of children currently here may enter.

RP Guidelines:

Do not god-mod. RPing should be like tag. Sometimes we lead and sometimes we chase, but it's always in fun. God-mod making every RP a game of Follow the Leader where no-one gets to quit and only one person ever gets to be the leader. The simple rule to remember is that you find yourself RPing someone else's pet as in the following:
'Ka keeled over dead'
or
'Squall's left! Let's all run away'
well... when you start doing that... STOP.

You are your Everblue. This is a place where the player can become their Everblue.

Wrong:
Gullien and Squall swam down to see what was going on in the lagoon.
Squall belched.

Right:
Squall took his place in the mouth of the tunnel again. There was always one squirt that took it in his head to try to run out there. Didn't they realize how dangerous that was? He shook his head and sighed as a new scent reached him.

Remember, even tho we can't understand them, Everblue can talk to one another!

Time need not apply. No-one else here? Instead of writing:
'Squall waiting around for hours and left in a huff', try
'Squall began to collect pretty shells'.
Perhaps when you log on next, someone will have had their Everblue interact with Squall.

Above all else, play nicely and have fun.
((I guess I shall be the one to enter first...?))

*Airadean swam about. She didn't see anyone and she was bored so she began to chase her tail and giggle. It was fun! She should do this more often!*
Quietly, and with a bit more grace that one would expect in a hatchling, a somewhat small Ever Blue youth swam close to the shipwreck, watching the female curiously. His hide was primarily black.. but shone a navy blue color when the sun hit it's wet surface. His neck and stomach were colored white, along with his mane- how the male kept the white parts of his body clean was a mystery.

Almost absently, the smaller Ever Blue- Reale by name- cast his gaze about for other young, wondering if the other youth was the only one out and about.
*Airadean stopped chasing her tail and looked at it. The purple stripes seemed to moving....maybe spinning wasn't such a good idea after all....she swam slowly to the ship wreck and dusted off a porthole with her tail. She looked in it and tried to unknot her purple mane. She noticed that the purple stripe on her lavender nose was coming in perfectly. She did a backflip and looked at her reflection again. Perfect. She noticed a dark male not to far off. He had dark blue stripes and a bright white belly and mane. She looked around but it only seemed to be them at the moment....Airadean debated on making friends or not. She was lonely but what if he didn't like her?*
Reale watched Airadean curiously as she inspected herself in one of the ship's reflective portholes, though didn't make a move to come closer to her... or speak. He was a bit reserved- surprising for a youth- though he did have his moments of silliness. At the moment, he settled for keeping an eye on the female. She looked like she'd make a good friend.. but then again, Reale had found that he was too quiet to make friends all that easily.
*Airadean looked around one last time. She was bored and he didn't seem to be having much fun either. She gained the courage to go over and talk to him. She was an extremly friendly little Everblue. She swam righ tup to him* Hi, I'm Airadean. You can call me Aira for short. What's your name? *She smiled alittle trying to be firendly and hoping that she wasn't to hyper. She never could tell how hyper she was....*
Arthas whuffled and blinked his big eyes open. With the sun seeping in through the ripples all around him, it was hard sometimes to stay awake. Arthas flicked his tail and let the ripple carry up his spine, into the top of his head, and back down again. Now there's a stretch!

Two flickers of color by the old wreck caught his eye. Hatchlings? But they had no idea what lurked inside the sunken ship! Arthas shimmied through the water towards them as calmly as he could. He worried, but there was something wonderful about the hatchlings, fresh and eager. He just hoped they weren't too eager...
Reale blinked, surprised that the energetic female had decided to speak with him. Vaguely, he wondered how long it would take for him to bore her, but he shrugged off that thought for later.

"Hi, Aira.. My name is Reale. I don't have a nickname." This he spoke quietly, as he hardly ever raised his voice past a normal level- another thing that marked him as 'odd' among many of the other youths.
*Airadean cocked her head a little* Reale? Cool name! *She smiled a little. She loved to make friends. She was probably the friendliest little sea serpent you would ever meet.* So....Reale? You wanna play? *Aira did a neat little backflip and blew the hair out of her face. That was annoying. He didn't seem that energitic but he was nice. At least he hadn't made any jokes about her being hyper.*
~Quite suddenly, and without any warning, a dark shape blurred by the portholes of the wrecked ship, from the inside! Streaks of color flew by as the black shape swept past the portholes at a high speed, sending an echoing rush noise through the water. It looked for all the world as if a predator were waiting inside...

Swiftly swimming into one of the chambers and hiding there, Friday chuckled to herself. Oh, pranks! One could hardly tell she was an adult!~
*Aira jumped back as she saw a large shape inside the ship go swimming past the portholes!* Reale....I think we better go. Did you just see that thing?!? It looked bigger then...then...oh I don't know but it was REALLY big!
Somewhat surprised at the sudden movement from the female, Reale backed up a bit.. but advanced back to his former place as if nothing had happened. "Alright... what do you want to play? I-" Reale backpedalled in the water quickly when the large shape flashed by, his heartbeat jumping momentarily. "O-okay..." He replied to Aira's request to leave, peering into the shipwreck curiously.. and with not a tiny bit of desire to investigate.
*Aira nodded and same in the opposite direction of the shipwreck as fast as she could. She may play at being a brave but something that big? No chance she was going in there! She like to go look at the preety shells but Reale probably wouldn't like that. After that fright she didn't feel like playing near the deep hole she had seen earlier either.* So...now that were away from..over there. What do you want to do Reale?
Reale gave one last look into the shipwreak, reluctantly following Aira when she left. Once he'd caught up with the fast swimming female, he shrugged slightly, raising his fins in an approximation of the gesture.

"I don't know, really.... whatever you want to do, I guess." He was pretty passive about this... it wasn't like he played with the other youths very often, and he didn't really have a favorite thing to do other than explore and think.
