We've all been hearing about the cut-throat race between the democratic candidates Obama and Hillary. Only one can win the democratic nomination, and so far they both have high numbers in the popularity polls, with Hillary being quite a bit ahead of Obama. My question is: is America truely ready to have a women president? There hasn't been a break in the traditional upper-middle class white christian male role in the presidency since the states came together over 200 years ago. Does she really stand a chance, or is Edwards going to pull ahead at the last minute because people realize they arn't ready for a black president either. Only time will tell, but until then, we can discuss it!
Things to talk about: Hillary Clinton Brock Obama Any other democratic candidate Women as presidents Is America ready for the change? Anything else to do with the '08 elections.
((EDIT: I would have put this in the politics subforum, but no one ever goes there so.....yeah))

Just a side note, it's Barack Obama.
I think the U.S. is ready for a female president, but Hillary is not that president. She may be smart, but that b***h is crazy.

I'm not sure America is ready for a female president, but I am sure that America is not ready for Hillary. She's widely hated. The fact that she's a woman just adds more crap to the political bonfire.
I don't think she's crazy, but she's definitely not my favorite. But anything is better than Bush.

I hate that saying. "ARE WE READY FOR A WOMAN IN POWER!?" That's just baloney. When I vote for a woman, it's not going to be because she's a woman, it's going to be because she has the same moral beliefs and political beliefs that I do. Besides, I dont know how anyone can take Hillary serious after the whole "cleavage" incident. Sides, after seeing a picture like this, I'm worried about how well the Commander-In-Chief is going to take war.

Wha-? Cleavage incident? I stopped following politics when I realized both parties are just as underhanded as the other.
I don't have much to contribute except to say that most people think women will vote for Hilary because she is a woman. However, I know that most women hate women, and will vote the other way because of it.
Don't you love that this whole thing doesn't seem to have anything to do with the merits of the actual candidates? (At least, I haven't heard anything.) *sigh* Stupid politics.
@ Tragic Mime: Maaaan, that is scary. I keep scrolling up to look at it...

Clinton wants to tax video games, introduce legislation to keep "inappropriate video games out of the hands of children", and would probably allow Jack Thompson to practice law again. Crazy.

I know this is going to come off as mean, but I can't help it (I'm sorry!!!)... There has been some controversy as to whether or not Brock Obama is truly "black". Actually, we have no ******** clue as to what his ethnicity is. .....Yes, I know my brain has some problems. sweatdrop Anywho, what is this about video game taxation? I heard she has a fit over them but honestly I didn't know she could smite my darlings. This influences my choice, definetly. You know Brock is a video game character... He's looking better and better. Though it might be the whole President Clinton scandal all over again.

About a month ago Hillary had some sort of bullshit press conference where she changed her opinions and ideals once again because the polls changed. And while she was discussing these ideals, she was on stage showing... Dare I say it? Cleavage. Here's a link. I didn't read it, I just googled "Hillary Cleavage" so I dont look like some c**k who just spouts whatever he hears.
