sometimes words look funny or seem to have another meaning when you split them into parts.
i realized this when i was doing a word puzzle and had to associate "mal" (bad) with "lard" (grease).
the answer was mallard, a duck.
so through misdefinition by parts, a duck became bad grease.
i always (almost) laugh at the word "coworker" since i think of someone
orking cows.
so what examples can you come up with?
