Her Mother and Father were paladins...She up until recently Believed her father to be a coward who her mother had been tracking down to bring back to the church Recent turn of events show he is alive and well fighting against the same fiends her mother fell to many years ago.

After a Brief stint with her father Valanathe became proficient in her paladin skills once more having them taken away from her for killing another Trainee upon hearing of her mother's death.
