The road to Pearl Moon town has been used as trading routes and serves as a main route for merchants as well as travelers. Much of the road is scenic, full of flora and fauna all together.

A young boy, no older than 16, walked the empty roads of Pearl Moon with only a large messenger bag and with the clothes on his back. He seemed a bit aloof and tired, most likely from the long trip from wherever he came from up to this point.

[A young halfling, with a bow strapped to her back and two short swords at her sides, walked through the roads. She has long black hair and sparkling green eyes. Under her eyes are small bags of sleep deprivation. She walks up to a random passerby.]
"Sir, could you please tell me where the nearest inn is located?"
[The man points off in a direction. She nods her thanks and hurries off.]

Ridley stretched his arms towards the blue sky, enjoying the warmth of the sun's rays. He had been traveling for a good three days now; Pearl Moon was not far, for the smell of salt water mixed with the breeze that passed by. "So close...Thank the gods...," he muttered softly. Pearl Moon was not far now...just half a day's walk!

Xannaphia walked hurriedly past all of the people on the road. Half a days walk! She groaned. This is horrible! And she didn't even have enough money for the inn.... She was hitting a low time in her job as a mercenary. Apparently, people weren't as violent or malicious as they once were. Whatever. The war was about to peak: There was word of rebellion of the slaves. They didn't pay much, she thought, but enough to get bread and a night at an inn.

~After a long walk, she moseyed on into the inn and took a seat at a table near the window. A barmaid came over and Xanna ordered some water. She looked out the window, wondering if she had the cunning to get her a room.~

Ridley had managed to reach the town in four hours by running for at least a mile...By the time he reached the gates of the sea city, he felt like he would pass out any given minute... Dragging his feet to the nearest inn (Pearl Moon Inn is the name of it), Ridley entered, payed for a room and locked himself in it... "Uuugh..." Ridley was -tired-...And all he really wanted to do was sleep, but he had overheard some townsfolk talk about the festival that takes place tonight and tomorrow evening. I wasn't all that interested in festivities...but what's the harm in going to one? It was 8:00PM and the festival started around 9:00PM; one hour to nap.

*As she walked throughout the streets, Destress was thoroughly bored with the city. She had been here for about a week, and never really met anybody interesting. It was her time away from her work after all! She wanted to meet people, for once.*

"I guess it's about time to go to sleep."

*She muttered this to herself as she casually pushed open the door of the inn and looked around. The Inn wasn't very crowded at this time, except for a few people, and one by the window which caught her attention. Destress grinned as she pulled her hat brim down lower and sat in a dark corner, a few feet away from the woman at the window. (Looks like an adventurer.... wonder if she has any loot on her?) As she thought this, she leaned back and put her legs up on the table, continuing to watch the woman by the window.*

[Xannaphia noticed the woman looking at her and felt rather stressed. She didn't let it show in her face, though. She took a sip of her water and smiled pleasantly. What the woman didn't know is that Xannaphia was a skilled mercenary. She let her jet black, slightly wavy, hair fall around her face and smirked. As she gazed out the window, she realized people were setting up for festivities. Huh, maybe she should look around. This could be a good opportunity for her to earn some money. She sipped her water again and let her eyes drift back to the woman in the shadows, the smirk still on her lips and an amused look in her deep green eyes.]

Ridley woke up an hour later...His feet weren't as sore and he felt a little more energized. He walked towards his window and stretched his arms, his blue-green gaze cast upon many people gathering towards the festival grounds-- which was in the middle of the town with the very large fountain dedicated to their Goddess of the Sea and Wisdom, Marina. Many of the cityfolk had pearls, shells, seaweed and rainbow fish scales decorating their bodies. Many of them wore nice regalia and robes; the shades of the sun, sea and sky...They were mages-- a small handfull of Sages in the crowd as well.

The sorcerer didn't have any sort of costume like the city folk's, but he had some rather nice royal blue- dark violet and gold ones that were good enough. After donning his robes and cloak, Ridley skipped downstairs, "I'm glad I made it for this festival..."

*Destress sighs and puts her feet down, crossing her arms on the table and propping her head up with her hand, starting straight at the woman, not even pretending to look away anymore. She lifted her hat brim with her other hand and grinned wickedly at the woman by the window*

"So.... you aren't from around here are you? What brings you to a place like this?"

*She continues smiling, trying to look as sweet as possible as she flickers her gaze away for a brief second, seeing another person walking down the stairs. Quickly she flicked her eyes back towards the woman at the window, trying to convince the woman by her looks of only good intentions towards her.*

"What is your name, if I may ask ma'am?"

[Xanna smiled. Good, the fool addressed her.]
"Sia. And, yours?"
[Before the woman could answer, Xanna looked away at the male descending the stairs. She could help but think he looked good in his robes. She stood up and walked toward him. She bowed her head after making eye contact.]
"Your grace, it is nice to see that word of the Festival of Seas gets out to such charming people. This town is honored to have you in its boundaries. Please, let me be your escort around the festival."
[She had no clue why she was doing, or saying, this. She knew this city well because she did business with it's people often. She, of course, had several aliases and disguises. No one recognized her now. Why was she saying this to him, though? He was a human, and one of class by the looks of it. Maybe the sleep deprivation had gotten to her.]

"W-wha...?-- O-oh...You're...a guide?" Ridley was slightly confused at first until he looked at himself and the Halfling. She must of known that he was a tourist. He smiled a little, "Er, thanks...I wasn't aware about escorts here..." Nor did she seem to be in a normal get-up. Perhaps she was part of the hotel crew...? "Well...Let's go then."

Xannaphia smiled broadly as she rose. "I'm just a friendly person from this town, sir. You look as if you might need a guide and I would like to enjoy the festival with someone." She walked toward the exit. Ha! Now, that mysterious person would have to jump two people! And she had an excuse to leave. "Come this way, kind sir. The festival awaits." She opened the door and noise flooded the room. Music, people laughing and cheering, men advertising their wares...

*Destress laughs at this display, obviously amused by "Sia's" reaction to the man walking down the stairs. She then stood up, and walked over to the bar, near the staircase to get within earshot of what was happening*

"Can you fill this up for me sir? Whiskey please."

*She smiles and puts a few gold coins on the counter and hands over a flask to the barkeeper. She grinned to herself as the barkeeper filled up the flask, knowing that now she could listen in on the conversation, and keep her actual money. What she handed the barkeeper were finely replicated coins made of fool's gold. With that she got up and followed in the shadows, after the two, holding her flask in one hand*

"I-I see..." Ridley wasn't used to having tour guides, much less being in a crowd full of people. He was a little uneasy and naturally uncomfortable in such environments. He followed the Halfling around anyway, "What's your name, anyway...?" The kid sorcerer looked down at his 'tour guide' curiously.
