(Note: You may learn only one Kido spell/Skill per 25 reiatsu and no more than 20 unless specified otherwise!)

There are four main areas of study in shinigami combat, and none of them are to be taken lightly. And while hand-to-hand combat, flash steps, and other arts are important, a shinigami can truly become a nightmare for enemies when they've mastered the vast array of spiritual spells available to bolster their arsenal. Spells come in all shapes, all sizes, and all degrees of power, by which they are ranked #1-100. By coming to the training academy and signing up to train for certain spells, a shinigami with a talent for Kido may eventually learn these spells and give them an edge against their enemies.

Some spells are easy to master. Some are difficult. Varying degrees of time will be required to learn the spells for different people, and some spells will remain beyond the reach of lower ranked shinigami until their talent for Kido and their spiritual pressure grow enough to handle them. There are also many accessories to the spells which will make their use easier, such as skipping incantations and doubling up spell usage. Mastering the tricks of the Kido trade is certainly a clear path to lead one to the rank of a masterful warrior!

Shinigami who are in training will require varied times to master the demon arts. Keep in mind that rest will be required in training, and that simply remaining here longer to try and learn your spells will only weaken you and make them more difficult to master. There is no set time limit to learn a spell, and it will only be learned after a ranked officer witnesses and approves its mastery. If they do not feel you have mastered the spells, you may have to continue training a little longer. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, so neither will you likely master all the Kido you want in one!

For Kido #50-100, you may not train the skills until you meet certain criteria. The criteria are as follows:
-One Captain must approve your training.
-You must have mastered Incantation Bypass and Double Incantation.
-You must have a Kido rating equivalent to the 6th highest Vice-Captain.

Hadou (Attack)

#1 - Thrust - A thrust of defensive spiritual power which forces an enemy away from the user temporarily. Very low power, no damage caused.

#4 - Byakurai - A thin bolt of lightning which tears through an enemy like a hot knife through butter. Low damage, strong piercing. [Lightning Element]

#31 - Red Flame Cannon - An extremely simplistic spell taught to Academy Students during their training to use Kido, the Red Flame Cannon is a ball of red energy fired from the palms of the user's hand. Low impact damage, minor splash damage. [No Element]

#33 - Soukatsui - A large wave of blue fire shot from the palm of the hand over a large distance and moderate horizontal range to overwhelm and destroy an enemy. Moderate damage. [Fire Element]

#54 - Haien - A small, palm-sized wave of intense flames which engulf and burn anything it touches over a small range. It's tiny size and dangerous flame make it difficult to use effectively. High damage, tiny range. [Fire Element]

#58 - Tenran - A tornado of orchid petals fired from the palm of the user's hand that swirl around and strike an enemy in the center. Low damage, multi-directional strike. [No Element]

#63 - Raikohou - A powerful, thin strike of lightning fired from the palm of the hand which can electrocute or burn through an enemy's body. A more powerful version of the Byakurai. Moderate damage, minor splash damage. [Lightning Element]

#66 - Soren Soukatsui - An ascended version of the original Soukatsui, two waves of power swirl around one another and strike at the enemy from opposite sides, making predicting its path much more difficult. Moderate range and doubled damage from the initial Soukatsui make this a high-level spell, but one that isn't easy to control. Moderate damage (x2), moderate splash damage. [Fire Element]

#90 - Black Coffin - A massive black box which forms around the enemy upon its use, trapping them within and then stabbing them with several large blades which do great but non-fatal damage. Requires a very high level of skill and Kido affinity to master and use. Heavy (non-fatal) damage, requires close proximity to be effective. [Non-Elemental]


Bakudo (Binding)

#1 - Obstruction - A spiritual energy locks around the hands of the enemy, binding them behind their back. Effective against enemies with very low spiritual pressure.

#39 - Arc Shield - An oval-shaped shield of condensed spiritual energy which rejects many low damage attacks.

#58 - Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows - By drawing a circle in the ground and dividing it into four segments, placing a symbol in each, the user can essentially locate anyone within the same dimension over the course of time.

#61 - Six Staves of Blinding Light - Six bands of bright light strike in at the enemy from all sides and bind them where they stand, hands to their sides, and render them temporarily motionless. Effective against enemies with low to moderate spiritual pressure.

#62 - Hyapporankan - A rod of spiritual energy is thrown at the opponent, which then splits into several short rods that pin the opponent to whatever is behind them at the time. Not all the rods need strike the target, making its range one of its stronger points. Binds enemies with low spiritual pressure within a short range.

#75 - Five Pillar Iron Brace - Five pillars of iron shoot up around an enemy, from which chains emerge and bind the hands, feet, and neck of an enemy to prevent them from moving temporarily. These pillars are quite strong binding enemies with moderate spiritual pressure in place.

#78 - Tenteikura - Transmits a one-way message to any number of souls which have been located by Bakudo #58 by creating a spiritual connection with the target over a great distance.

#81 - Danku - One of the highest-level and hardest binding spells to master, Danku creates a barrier which rejects spiritual attacks at a high level. This barrier will only last a moment, however, and will shatter immediately after use. Requires a very high Kido affinity to use and master.

#99 - Restraint Seal - By simply touching a part of a person's body using this spell, one can seal off its movements for a very limited time. Though simple in essence, it is near impossible to use properly and control, limiting its use to only the most adept of Kido masters.

Bougyoudo (Support)

Incantation Bypass - A level of mastery in Kido use which allows the user to begin skipping the incantation of a spell during use. For most shinigami this will weaken the spell, and for higher level spells, effectiveness may be greatly weakened. Highest level Kido users may not lose much power at all, however.

Double Incantation - Another high level Kido technique which allows the user to use two spells at once by alternating lines of the incantation, the Double Incantation is a deadly weapon for any shinigami.

Other

Hanki - A hand-to-hand combat ability developed by the Special Forces by which attacks can be repelled by striking them with an equal and opposite force, harmlessly negating them both. Is incredibly difficult to master, as even the slightest miscalculation or unbalance will cause a volatile failure.

Shunko - A technique developed and used by the Special Forces exclusively, combining Kido with Physical skill to allow greater damage and movement abilities for the user by gathering a mass of spiritual energy around the back and shoulders that can burn away any fabric covering the areas.

Shunpo - A movement ability mastered by high-level shinigami which allows them to move great distances in a single step. Increases movement speed greatly, and makes it difficult to see the user if a person does not move at a comparable speed.

Mirror Gate - A high-level barrier which is extremely difficult to break into from the outside, but easy to destroy from the inside.

White Prostration - A white flash from the eyes of the user which can temporarily render enemies with low spiritual pressure unconscious on sight.
