Apollo and Artemis are twin siblings, the son and daughter of Zeus and the immortal Leto. In many ways they are opposites – Apollo is often associated with the sun and Artemis with the moon, and though Apollo had many loves, Artemis swore to remain a virgin. But both are associated with archery – Apollo with its aspect as an art form, Artemis with its use in the hunt, and both were concerned with healing.

Apollo’s symbol is the lyre, and Artemis’s the stag, but both take the bow as a second symbol.

Members of the House of the Bow tend to be kind and protective, but cruelly vengeful when angered.
