The reporter squad. In charge of distributing news throughout Soul Society as well as the Hell Butterfly population. Also, the 9th Division’s members use elemental zanpakutou; they are known to have the strongest elemental based swords.

Shana grinned up at the sky. "Woo! What a great sunny day!" She stretched her arms up into the air. "Who could stay in and do paperwork on a day like this?" She jumped out of the division window and started to walk around. "I love sunny days like this! Great to suck up some heat!"

As the young Captain wandered about her squad's area a set of old, experienced eyes fell upon her. Seemingly from out of no where Commander-General Yamamoto appeared before her with a bit of a smile upon his face. "Captain Shana," he said in his elderly voice, "There is a certain threat in the living realm that I would like you and Captain Nemuri of the Fifth Squad to check out. Apparantly there is someone who wants to cause trouble for the humans, and we simply can't have that. You are to leave as soon as possible."

Shana jumped at the appearance of the old first captain. "Oh! Is that so?" She grinned. "Alright then! I'm on my way to get Nemuri" She turned and used her flash step to get going into the living realm.

The old shinigami commander chuckled at the young Captain's spunk and turned around, thinking about how she was saving him the time of having to go to the Fifth Squad's HQ to tell him about their mission. On his way out Kyouraku bumped into him and they greeted each other with shallow bows.

"Oi, Yama-ji, I was just looking for you. May I speak with you in private at your office?" Kyouraku asked with a dull smile. Yamamoto gazed at him with tired eyes and nodded, leading the way to the First Divisions office.

In a flash of bluish-white light Shana appeared at her division headquarters. The members crying out in shock before running up to help her. She was still bleeding profusely from her wounds and her vision was getting hazy.
