I have a friend who was raped recently. A date rape. She's having a hard time with her family since she told them and she knows it'll effect the rest of her life. She's refusing to speak in court against the older man. She's 15 and he's 22. Please keep her in your prayers!

I hope things have gone well for her since you posted this.
It is a very hard thing to stuggle with. Im glad she was able to get it out in the open and tell her family. I really pray they are supportive of her.
Everyone I have talked to about my own experiences have been suportive, but it took me along time to finally admit to my friends what happened. I am still struggleing with telling my mom, because it was a family member who did it. My friend who was also raped by a person she knew, didnt take it to court because she didnt want her and the other girl to have to relive the experience. Though they often regret not doing more, because they were discouraged by the school they were going to. But she has to see him almost everyday.
You get to a point where you survive it all just to spite them. Im not sure if that is a good place to be.
Was she a christian? How is this effecting her faith? If you dont mind my asking.
I will keep her in my prayers.
