[New Species?!] - May 7, 2006

Hey everyone! Peri here. It seems Skada and I have stumbled upon a new species. You see, Skada and I flew back to the HamHam's island, to make sure we didn't leave any behind. As we searched their old home, we came across a small egg with wings. Thinking this might be something important, we wrapped it up in a soft cloth, and stored it in a small basket to keep it safe. When we returned home, we placed it in an incubator to keep it warm, and waited to see what would hatch from it. All of the HamHams seemed to be rather interested in this tiny thing as well. Though, they looked just as confused as we were.

As the days passed, there wasn't much change in the egg. It would wiggle slightly, from time to time, but nothing more. Then on May 6th, Skada went to check on the egg. She was shocked to find that its egg had cracks all over it. Immediately she thought that someone had taken it out and was too clumsy with it. Skada asked Peri if she knew anything about this, and Peri shook her head.

"No, I haven't touched the thing since we brought it home" she said to her friend.

Skada looked confused, "Then how did it get cracks in it?" She asked.

Just then, Peri and Skada both heard some movement coming from the incubator. They looked at it, and seen that whatever was inside, was slowly pushing its way out. They both watched with amazement as a little grub-like creature emerged from the cracked egg shell. It was purple, with dark purple antennae, and little golden yellow wings.

"What is that thing?!" Peri asked Skada.

"I have no clue" Skada replied.

Both of them just starred at the creature, until Skada decided to open up the incubator and take it out. The little cutie crawled all over her hand, and up her arm. He/She seemed delighted to be out of that shell.

"What should we call it?" Peri asked her good friend.

Then Skada put her finger to her mouth and thought for a moment. "I'm not sure.. why don't we watch the little...thing, and maybe a name will come to us later" Skada commented.

"Alright" Peri replied.

Too Be Continued...

[Flutterbys] - May 8, 2006

Peri and Skada had stayed up throughout the night, trying to figure out a name for the little creature. They studdied its movements, sounds, eating habbits..etc. Nothing was coming to them. With the both of them frustrated and tired, the put the grub-like creature into a small tank, with food, water and a few things for it to climb on. Then went back to their homes to sleep.

The next day, Peri arrived at the shop, and seen that Skada was already there. She looked rather excited.

"Good morning, Skada" She said merrely.

"Good morning to you as well, Peri" Skada replied.

"What are you up to?" Peri asked her friend.

"Not much, but I had the most AMAZING dream last night. It gave me a great idea for a name!" she said with an excited tone in her voice.

"Oh really?! What is it" Peri said while placing her purse and jacket on a coat rack, and setting her shoes aside, so she could roam about barefoot.

"What do you think of, Flutterbys?" Skada asked.

Peri thought for a moment, then she looked into the tank where the creature was chewing on a leaf. "Flutterbys...." She said. A few moments later, she looked back up at Skada and commented "I think Flutterbys is a wonderful name". She smiled at her friend, then took out the little Flutterby, so he/she could play with the HamHams.

"You know, we really should hold a sale of some kind, for those 3 eggs we found..." Skada commented.

"That sounds like a good idea, when should we have it?" Peri replied, as she began to clean out the Flutterbys tank, so that she could put fresh food and such inside.

While rummaging through it, she stumbled upon 3 eggs, 1 purple, just like the Flutterby they already had, one a green-ish blue, and one white. Peri let out a gasp. Skada quickly rushed over to see what was going on.

"There are 3 more eggs in this tank! How could that be possible?!" Peri said.

"I'm not sure, maybe Flutterbys reproduce asexually?" Skada commented.

"Even then, the little thing only hatched yesterday..." Peri remarked.

"Well, I guess we just need to study it more. Until then, why don't we sell these three eggs the same day we sell the others?" Skada replied.

Peri nodded and then took out the three eggs, bundling them all up and setting them in an incubator with the others. She continued to clean the cage, then placed fresh leaves, twigs and other things the Flutterby seemed to like, inside. Once finished, she placed the lid back ontop, and went out back to see how the hamhams and flutterby were getting along. Skada followed behind. The two of them spent the rest of that afternoon playing games with their small friends, then headed home just before it became dark.

[Special Egg] - July 25, 2006

Good evening everyone, LP here. Earlier today while rummaging through our shops tool shed in back, I came across this special egg. It was hiding behind the shovel. I'm not sure how it got there, or who it might have come from. I do know that I'll be researching it a little bit, for a few days. The colors are unlike any i've seen so far among the hamham's we have currently. The wings, well we do have an angel hamham however, this egg in particular has different colored wings. Its not your usual white. Above its head there rests a halo. So obviously its an angel HamHam of some kind. The gender is unknown, and as far as a caretaker goes..well we can figure that out later through an event or something. Please stay turned during this week, as we try to figure out more about this pretty little egg.

[Research] - July 26, 2005

Hey everyone! LP here again. I will admit that yesterday I was feeling a slight bit skeptical about the egg we found. The wings it had, were very unique and seeing as how we haven't ever seen an angelic ham with mutli-colored wings, well I thought maybe someone was playing a practical joke.

However, i've done some research and concluded that it is infact a rare angelic hamham. I've decided it will find its caretaker, one of two ways. 1.) Through a raffle, 2.) through an auction. I'm not sure which would be better. Seeing as how raffles haven't gone over very well in the past.

On a side note, I took a trip back to where the hamham's were found, with the help of a close personal friend of mine (since Skada is gone). Suprisingly, all of the problems that the island once had, seemed to be gone. Flowers were growing again, and I could see a small patch of carrots planted a few feet away. My friend and I landed the small little plane and hopped out to look around. It was strange because it really didn't look like anyone was around, but the shape of the island would suggest otherwise.

Well, after a while of poking my nose outside, I noticed another floating island not too far away from the one we were standing on. My friend and I then hopped back into the plane and flew over there. This island was much larger. It had beautiful sakura trees planted all over, and small patches of flowers scattered. The scenery was amazing. I hopped out of the plane, for the second time, and followed a path that led to a rather large building. Big enough for even a human to walk into it. Without much hesitation, I did just that. I was hoping to find someone who could help me expand my knowledge about the magnificent creatures Skada and I had found so long ago.

I was in luck, there was a small human-like creature sitting behind a desk, who seemed to speak perfect english.

"Hello" said the person behind the desk "What can I help you with?"

"Well, I was hoping to find some information on the creatures known as Hamusuta-...err, well I mean the little hamster-like creatures that were found on the island nearby this one." I replied

"I see, well we don't have too many books on that particular subject, but the ones we do have are filled with a lot of information." The lady replied, she smiled the pointed towards a door to the left. "There is a library through that door, in section H102 you will find the books containing information on the 'Hamusuta-'. If you need any additional help, please come back and ask me." She smiled then went back to whatever it is she was doing before we arrived.

Afterwards, I went into the library and found the books she had spoke of. I brought them back to her and asked if I could borrow them. She said that was alright and just like any normal library, gave me a date that they needed to be turned back in on. My friend and I then proceeded to get back into the plane and come back to the shop, so I could do the much needed research on these creatures.

These books are where I found out more information about the most recent egg we've found. Also, according to the book, there is some sort of "kingdom" among the hamham world. Yes, I said world. Apparently these little islands are connected with some other world, where these hamham's live. There is supposed to be some sort of portal/doorway which gives us access to this place. I'm just not sure where its located.

Also, from what I understand, there are 3 floating islands located on earth. So far we've found 2. The first being the habitat of the HamHams, and the second being a library/office type building. It didn't say what the third island was, but i'm sure we'll find out at some point in time. Until then, i'll continue to research the HamHams and their world as much as I possibly can, with the help of these books.

[A New Habitat] - July 26, 2006

Hey everyone, just after posting about the intense research done about the special little ham. I went to go check on the egg. What I found floating next to it was quite remarkable. Generally when we find a ham egg, it obtains its own little habitat. Just big enough to fit two small ham's, some toys and maybe a little Flutterby. Most of the time we see the normal Cherry Blossom tree habitat, or the Green Tree habitat. On one special occassion we even seen the 'Dead' Habitat. It seems that now we have a 4th habitat, made for our special little egg. It's the same as the Cherry Blossom habitat, only it has these beautiful clouds that surround everything. I'm wondering if these islands are supposed to be a small clone of what their environment would look like, in their world? I'm not certain, but I will definately do more research on this.
