Dawn had barely spread her pale purple, pink and gold gown across the sky when Nemesis awoke. She yawned, then stretched, looking around the small cave she shared with her sister. She smiled, ruffling her feathers. Not surprisingly, Nomaiya hadn't returned. Most likely she was still in the depths of the woods, exploring the cool darkness.
Yawning once more she walked to the edge of the cliff, looking down over the valley. Very few Hippogryphs were stirring, few enjoyed mornings as much as she did. Spreading her wings, she took to the sky, gliding through the air.
She landed just beside the cool pool which gathered below the thundering waterfall. She landed, kneeling to take a drink of the cool water, waiting for Sol.

Sol yawned stumbling along the beaten path he made from his trips around. Hating to wake up so early in the mornings. But a promise was a promise no matter the annoyances.
"Nem?" Sol asked eyes only half opened.

Nem lifted her head, regarding Sol as he stumbled towards her. "Oh, Sol." She trotted over, gently nuzzling her beak against his cheek. "Good morning, sleepy head."

"Well, you didn't have to agree to meet me this morning. We could have met this afternoon." She nibbled the tufts of his ears affectionately, moving to preen the feathers on his neck. "I know you hate mornings."

"Really?" She casually knelt down, taking another drink of the cool, fresh water. "Why, exactly, would that be?" She fluffed her wings, ruffling her neck feathers. Slowly she lifted her head, looking at him. There was a hint of mischief in her turquoise eyes...

She made certain Sol was splashed as she fell in. She swam out to the center of the pool, waiting for him. "Really? I'm fairly certain it's more."

She swam beside him, nipping at the tuft of his ear once again. "Call it a feeling I have."

She splashed back, swimming to the shore. "Yes, that's all. Come on, let's go for a walk."

She trotted beside him, her tail brushing against his. "So, where shall we go today?" She smiled, nuzzling against his cheek again.
