Details: Once a Division of great renown and honor, the 5th Squad has fallen upon hard times following the defection of their Captain Sosuke Aizen to Hueco Mundo and the injuries suffered by their Vice-Captain Momo Hinamori. With most of the work now claimed by Captain Hitsugaya of the 10th Squad, the office of Captain in the 5th Division is currently unoccupied, with no potential successors in sight.

Vice-Captain: Momo Hinamori
Details: Once the childhood friend of Captain Hitsugaya during their time living in the Rukon District, Hinamori trained hard for years to become a master of Kido and the subordinate of Sosuke Aizen. After achieving her goal, however, she was crushed by the realization that her Captain was a traitor, having been tricked into attacking Captain Hitsugaya during the turmoil after Aizen's staged death, and nearly killed when he impaled her upon his sword. Still recovering both physically and mentally from the scars suffered during the defection, she does what she can for the failing 5th Squad.
