Lord of Las Noches: Sosuke Aizen
Details: Formerly the Captain of Squad 5 in Soul Society, Sosuke Aizen faked his own death and slaughtered the Central 46 in order to force the execution of Rukia Kuchiki to obtain an item known as the Hogyouku hidden within her soul. After the failure of the execution, however, he was still able to obtain the item, which has the power to remove the barrier between hollows and shinigami, raising the power of a person beyond the limits of Soul Reapers. Using this and taking up residence in Las Noches (in the land of hollows, Hueco Mundo), Aizen seeks to open a path to the realm of the King of Soul Society and kill him, claiming for himself the throne of a God over Earth, Hueco Mundo, and Soul Society alike.

2nd-in-Command: Gin Ichimaru
Details: Formerly the Captain of Squad 3, Gin Ichimaru remained the subordinate of Sosuke Aizen even after his promotion from the Lieutenant rank he held under him for years. Cunning, sly, and insufferably calm, he has an aura about him that seems to instantly put those who meet him on edge. His eyes are constantly narrowed into slits and rarely opened, and he is always smiling, giving him a rather fox-like appearance. Despite his apparently evil nature, however, he has shown glimpses of humanity...in his strange relationship with Rangiku Matsumoto, and his refusal to toy with the intruders into Hueco Mundo during Ichigo's raid.

3rd-in-Command: Kaname Tousen
Details: Formerly the Captain of Squad 9, Kaname Tousen seems a misfit in the 'evil' band under the command of Sosuke Aizen. However he is adamant that by serving Aizen (whom he served under for years in Soul Society), he is following the path of least bloodshed, thereby walking the path of justice. He despises those such as Grimmjow Jaegerjaques and Zaraki Kenpachi who represent chaos and disorder, and respects those who are pure at heart. Tousen once swore to become justice in honor of a friend who had died as a soul reaper seeking to protect justice, and the zanpaktou he wields, Suzumushi, is said to have once belonged to that person.
