Zailan was born in a small inhabited nest that was once his parents. When he hatched from his little egg. He noticed no one was to be seen. Where'd his parents go? He still doesn't know, but thinks about it at times. Not too long after he hatches he runs in to two hippogriffs, Rin and Tin who become his friends.
Once he became old enough to venture on his own, he ended up just walking all over the place. He was quite depressed and just wanted to get away from everyone. While he was away he found a small egg. It was blue as sapphire, almost a night sky blue. He didn't know what to do, so he took her back with him.
He still hadn't seen Tin or Ron in a while, and figured they'd forgotten about him. He spent a great deal of time trying to hatch this little egg. which it indeed did. Kiyoshi was born not too long after he got back to his old nesting area. He named her Kiyoshi because she was so pure to him that he found a name that meant pure.
Zailan was resently attacked by two-leggers. He didn't know exactly what they were doing, but he knew one thing. One of them could breath fire. It hurt him badly. He killed one on accident, only out of trying to protect himself. Now he's endangered his family and has a hard choice to make. He hopes no matter what he picks, his family will be safe. Even if he has to die protecting them.

 Kiyoshi is a bit different then most Hippogriffs. She loves everyone. Doesn't matter what your speices is. As long as your nice, and seem awesome to her, she'll talk to you. She loves meeting new people. She's very social, and very out going. She's independant, but needs someone to protect her when in danger. She's Cheerful, loud, and fun to be around.
Kiyoshi was found by Zailan when she was just an egg. She hatched a few days later. Her play friends were Kore, and Calamity. Kore was her absolute best friend and very first grifflet she met. Calamity met her and Kore about the same time. Since they both where unpartable. She became attached to Calamity and started to fall for him.
Kore left one night when they were all hanging with Zailan. She didn't know why she left without saying goodbye. It made her depressed and angry at her dear friend. She couldn't wait until the next time she met her and hoped she'd be the same way.

 Akashi grew up without anyone. She was hatched, and never met her parents. She ran into some humans, but escaped them a few days later. Then, soon she ran into a fox who decided to become her friend.
After running into her mini fox friend, Zadis, she's changed a bit. You could say he taught her manners. No one would ever be able to tell who she was now that she was fully grown.
Not too long after she grew, her and Zadis found themselves looking upon a small brown egg. Zadis didn't want her to take the egg, though, she coudlnt' help it. It was so small, and deffenceless. No parents in the world. How would it be able to live? She would raise the egg to be her sister.
