The hand to hand combat squad. In charge of preserving methods of fighting without the use of Zanpakutos to keep Shinigami from becoming vulnerable should they be forced to fight without. They believe in training their bodies and knowing their own limitations before going into a fight, making them formidable in both hand to hand combat, but also in combat with Zanpakutos. Kaimi sat, watching the lower seats of Squad Seven practice. Her fingers played with the red orb that was on a chain around her neck. She would rather take up the role as teacher instead leader. Paperwork, meetings, and whatnot wasn't a thing she could even bother to do.
She leaned against the wall, looking out to the sky from the training grounds. She'd usually have the class inside the dojo, but today was just right to practice outside.
Kai looked back to the group, hands settled to her legs, "Ten more minutes, then a break." The group cheered for a moment, qickly getting back into their training mood.

Deep within the offices of the Seventh Squad, Komamura sat at his desk motoring away at all of his paperwork. The nine-foot-tall dog-man was actually quite proficient at filling out his papers, and he was nearly done with a rather large stack. As he signed away on the last half-dozen he set his brush back in its ink-well and leaned back in his oversized chair, placing his hands behind his head as he did so. It felt good to get his work done early, he'd get to take the rest of the day off to do anything else that needed getting done. With a toothy smile he pushed himself away from the desk and stood up, stretching out his arms and shoulders as he did so, then decided to go out and check on the lower seats. He stepped out through the door that he'd had specially made for someone of his height to walk through and slid it shut behind him as he left the office building. He quickly headed toward the courtyard and gazed down at all of his officers who were all training so hard. Of course it was Kaimi training them all at the moment. He wondered where Tetsuzaemon was, probably sparring with Ikkaku... His yellow canine eyes focused down on the anthropomorphic goat girl, happy that she was finally finding her place in the world despite her appearance, and decided to go down and check in with her. He quickly made his way around the training area and approached Kaimi from her right, then stopped rather close to her, towering over her with his massive form, and said, "How is it going today, Kaimi?"

Tetsuzaemon walked into the training area. "Kaimi. I challenge you." He called out, his zanpakuto unsheathed, and raised. "Captain-sama, you can watch." He looked at her defiantly, and beckoned her along. He stretched for a moment, and then moved into a nearby training circle, pretending he was facing someone, and began blade flourishes, swinging his blade around elegantly, and with much precision.

Kaimi kept her eyes to the group, ears twitching at hearing her captain, "All is well, Komamura-sama." She glanced up, ears flicking outwards at how close he was. She stood, hooves clicking against the wood, "Okay guys, break time!" She watched as a few men cheered, a few fell, and others begin to talk among themselves.
Se was about to speak up when Iba spoke first. Her ears twitched, glancing back to the Captain. She walked over, dropping down into the grass, walking over the circle, stopping at the edge, "Wouldn't I be the one to challenge you?"

"Is that so? Well... here I come." He told her, smiling. Tetsuzaemon charged towards her, hoping to catch her off guard. He had thrust his blade forward, in a stabbing position. His heart was racing, the adrenaline of a battle was exhilarating to him.

Kaimi jumped back a little, getting just out of reach, "Hey now." She stepped back a couple of steps, "I'm not really in the mood to fight now" She held her hands up, tail twitching through the hole she had cut in her top.
She kept her eyes to Iba, "We're not Squad Eleven." She slowly brought her arms down, letting them settle to her side. She backed up a little more, "We are Squad Seven, and we fight with our fists." She bolted forward, throwing a fist at Iba.

Iba sighed, sheathing his zanpakuto, and using his opposite hand to catch her fist. He then pushed forward, and bent backwards, tossing a kick towards her waist. "That may be the case. But, we're also skilled in zanjutsu. I don't mean to sound a bit negative about our specialty... but if they enemy has a blade I'm using my blade. Getting cut up isn't fun." Iba explained to the third seat. "Sometimes, you have to think outside the box... for example kido can be quite useful." He then slid back "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Way of binding: No. 9 Geki!" He attempted to paralyze her in a red burst of energy. Iba was pretty good at kido, especially binding spells.

Kaimi felt the kick, but landed carefully in the grass. She easily took up a deffensive stance, listening to the higher seat, "Oh I know, but I'm build for hand to hand." Her eyes widened, ears quickly swiveling back as she hopped back several feet, just barely missing the kido.
She kneeled down in the grass, tail wiggling in an odd fast face wag. She sat there for a moment before bolting forward once more. Right before reaching Iba, she jumped up, turning as she threw her hooved foot towards his face.

Iba took the kick, but as he lifted into the air, he grabbed her leg, so that not only he would fly back, but she would be forced as well. As he flew, he lunged his fist forward towards her torso.

Iba heard the message, and quit fighting her. He suddenly shunpoed off to 2nd Division to help.

Komamura's ears perked up when he heard the message from Ikkimaru, and before he could react Tetsuzaemon had already left, eager for a fight. The canine Captain shook his head and turned to Kaimi. "Either come with me and fight or stay here and keep the lower seats safe. It's your choice, Kaimi. I'm going to the Second Division." He smirked with his fangs partially exposed and turned to head off in that direction. He would be there shortly...

Tsubaki appeared in the 7th Division courtyard after the bright flash of light from Nobou's orb. Damn, that was a smart guy, creating an item that could just teleport a bunch of people all to separate locations. Well, there was no time to dwell on that, she had a job to do. Cricking her neck a couple times, Tsubaki made her way inside the building, the sun setting behind her, searching out the strongest reiatsu in the area and heading towards it. She felt confident that, by the time the moon rose, the 7th Division Captain would be dead.

Komamura had spent the last couple of hours making sure that Iba's body was put to rest in a respectable manner. Now the sun was setting and he was sitting in meditation with Tenken at his side. He was deeply troubled. The person who killed his Lieutenant was out there somewhere and his very existence angered the Canine Captain. It wasn't until he sensed Tsubaki's sudden arrival that his eyes slid open and his upper lip scrunched up into a snarl. For all he knew it was the one who killed Iba. It was certainly a strong Reiatsu, and it wasn't any one that he recognised. Bringing himself to a stand he stepped out of his office door and out into the courtyard. He couldn't see the intruder yet, but surely they would make their move soon. He kept his capable hands ready for anything.

After a bit of searching, Tsubaki finally made her way into another courtyard to find an enormus figure standing there, silouetted by the setting sun. She couldn't quite make out any features, but the white haori was unmistakable. "So, I'm guessing you're the big dog around here." she said, making her way down the steps. When the man finally turned around, however, she discovered that he really was the big dog around here. A snort escaped her as she tried in vain to hold in the laughter from her unintended pun before she finally couldn't hold it in any longer and burst out laughing. "This is ********' ridiculous! You're a ********' dog!" she yelled whenever she could find a break between her fits of laughter, holding her sides which were quickly getting sore.
