"ALRIGHT PUNKS, MOVE IT! THAT'S RIGHT!!" shouted a loud voice from the Fifth Division training grounds. All across the grounds there were strange obstacle courses set up, and at the end of each obstacle there stood dummy hollows roaming about in an erratic pattern. And each of the Shinigami who dash through the courses held out their fingers to the dummy hollows and then shouted something. And after each shout, a streak of lightning shot out and struck the fake beasts turning them into smoke... only to regenerate later. "Yeah! That's it! KEEP IT UP!" shouted the same voice. "Now let's see some Shakkahō!!"

Captain Maedel Lencarde of the Fifth Division stood watch over the number of recruits that were running through the course with speed and blasting kidou. They had just joined up and already he had welcomed them with a power drill exercise. Maedel had a high standard for his squad, they had to be good with both swordsmanship and kidou, otherwise they were out. Thus far, these little punks were showing skill. Dodging through the obstacle course and striking their enemies with kidou spells with such speed. "GOOD! NOW LET'S SEE SOME SOKATSUI!!" he yelled loudly. Soon the blasts of red fire were replaced with bursts of larger blue ones. Maedel grinned as he stood there with his arms folded, the wind blowing his blue headband which had two very long strands at the end of it, and a pair of stylish goggles sat upon the headband. These reactions were a bit slower than the rest, but nevertheless they did better than he would expect from new recruits. Maedel glanced at a few of the veteran squad members who stood behind him. A few of them nodded their heads and Maedel grinned. "ALRIGHT! ENOUGH!!! RALLY, NOW!!!" he shouted.

At once, all of the recruits ceased what they were doing and then gathered before him panting heavily and sweaty but nevertheless Maedel seemed somewhat proud. "Alright! Excellent work, all of you!" he said to them. "Part of Squad Five's specialty is kidou, but swordsmanship and speed is also essential in this aspect. If you rely too much on kidou spells then you'll be helpless against an enemy who is brute force once he closes in on you! Train yourselves, discipline your styles and you'll be sure to kick a lot of a**!!" he yelled almost cockily. Almost all of the recruits cheered proudly at this. "PIPE DOWN!!" Maedel yelled, and at once they all silenced. "Now then, since we've already done introductions with me, the rest of you... have a nice drink with the squad! Dismissed!" and then instantly the Fifth Captain vanished in shunpo away from the squad in order for them to get to know each other better. For his next exercise, he'd be teaching them how to do things with teamwork. But for now, it was time for the Captain to have a break himself. With that he vanished into shunpo once more and soon left the division...

Aeldevera stood around, studying the familiar surrounding. He was looking forward to this battle. If he had become a Captain, it probably would of been over this Division. He waited for his opponent to arrive. He did not know who the current 5th Division Captain was. Nor, did he know of his capability as a shinigami. This battle would be full of surprises for the two of them. He kept his reiatsu exertion to a minimum, attempting to hold the element of surprise.

Maedel stood on the roof of his office, all of his members sortied and in defensive combat positions and standing by. So it was war, was it? All out war against a bunch of convicts and strangers he knew nothing of. The Captain was wary however, he wasn't about to let his men die by sending them into a battle that they could not win. If the enemy were to arrive, they were to notify him at once. Soon his notice came, a hellbutterfly landed right on his shoulder and a grin spread across his face. "Well well... the storm's here..." he stated as he lowered his shaded goggles over his eyes. And with that he vanished into shunpo after ordering his guys not to engage the foe.

When he first reappeared he stood on a tower far above but not too far away from his enemy, his reiatsu concealed to an absolute zero sense. Maedel liked fighting head to head, but when it came to his enemies wandering into his home, it'd be he who'd get the drop on them! Pointing his hand in the direction of his foe he whispered softly. "Hado 33, Sokatsui." instantaneously, a massive blast of blue energy shot forth from the palm of his hand and right towards his foe. Weather or not it struck, Maedel didn't wait, for he had shunpo'd off the tower and then landed on a building closer to this man. The kido he had fired would create a very large explosion considering Maedel's level of kido (which was extremely high, even masterful). His voice rang out with a laugh.

"Hahaha! Well well, what do we got here? One of our enemies rushing into our territory all by himself?" came Maedel's voice as the Fifth Captain soon materialized in a blur a fair distance from Aeldevera with his arms folded, gazing at him with an appraising smirk on his face, which added a sense of coolness considering his goggles. "I can't tell if you're just cocky, or tough. But considering your reiatsu, I'd say it's the latter." the Fifth Captain then drew out his sword and pointed it at Aeldevera. "Either way, sorry, pal. But I'm not letting ya go any further, whoever you are." Maedel said as he took his battle stance.

Shunpoing to the left of the ball of fire shot at him, the man smiled at him. He was then unsheathing his own zanpakuto, raising it up as if to beckon Maedel. "My name... is Aeldevera Mistalune. This was one of my original squads. Had I not been arrested for a crime I didn't commit, I'd be the current Captain. The question is, who are you? By the looks of it, you must be young. Rash, foolish, incompetent, and above all ignorant." Aeldevera looked at him, studying his stance. "Way of Destruction: No. 12 Unbound Lightning." He coldly stated, a hadou spell without incantation. From his left hand's three fingertips he fired three bolts of lightning headed to Maedel. The first of the two bolt however, failed. A sad effect due to the seki seki stone's wear and tear on each convict and prisoner.

Maedel simply smirked at his remark of him being rash, foolish, incompetent, and ignorant. "Wow. That's new!" and when he had unleashed his next kido upon the youth, Maedel simply held up his hand. "Bakudo 39 Enkosen!" he said almost calmly as the shield appeared before him and blocked the incoming lightning. "Maybe, maybe not, I've been called the first two in the past!" he stated. "I'm Maedel Lencarde, Captain of the Fifth! And for what it's worth, if I were incompetent, I wouldn't be holding this position now would I?!" he shouted as the Enkosen shield shattered and he shunpo'd right at his enemy reappearing right next to him, slashing his sword sideways at him with fluid grace and swift speed which would negate the incompetent part of the insult. "Or are you gonna say Captain General Shurajou's incompetent?" he mused.

Without looking at him, he moved his blade to beautifully meet Maedel's own. "No. Shurajou is fine. But, you... you're just like I was at that age." Aeldevera stated. Who is this kid, has he not even heard of how powerful Aeldevera is? He began to use his reiatsu, and push his blade harder on Maedel's. "Central 46 had me locked up for a thousand years. I get let out, and now in order to survive I'm forced to fight my own home. Tell me Maedel, what would you do if you were in my predicament?" Aeldevera asked quietly, separating their blades, and then reconnecting with a powerful strike. "I've been around for over 2,500 years. And even now, I wonder why I'm still fighting. I've lived through the Hollow Wars. I've been there. Done that. I've seen it all, kid. You don't know anything though, do you?"
PostPosted: Sat Oct 17, 2009 9:13 pm

With the surge of this foe's reiatsu, in response Maedel's own reiatsu was unleashed as his aura glowed a bright emerald green color as his blade pushed against his to meet its force and keep it in place. "Am I?" Aelde's question caused him to raise an eyebrow. Maedel drew back his blade when this man drew back his, and then he too struck with a powerful strike enough to cause a small shock wave all around them, his reiatsu surging through his blade as he pushed against his enemy's. "Heh! Good question, I dunno admittedly. And I admit my knowledge is limited. But if you think you can earn my sympathy by going lecturing about what's past, then you've got another thing COMING!!" he yelled as he stepped to the side, separating his blade from his and then his attack began. Maedel slashed left and right rapidly and added several quick thrusts at his foe. Maedel had no intention of underestimating Aelde, but neither should he underestimate Maedel's swiftness and strength, for his assault was indeed swift and merciless.

Mood:Dance Of The Battle
Aeldevera kept in tune with his attempts, carefully parrying and repelling each of them. He then struck a final time, shunpoing several hundred feet back away from him. "No, I don't want your sympathy. We both will dance for what we must." He then held out his hand. "Way of Destruction: No. 54 Haien!" He performed a hadou spell with incantation, and it was completely successful that time. A large purple blast of energy was shot out rapidly towards Maedel. Aeldevera shunpoed towards him, behind the attack he had just sent, preparing to make contact once more.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 17, 2009 10:00 pm

"Then start the damn music!" Maedel shouted as Aelde sent forth the Haien right at him. A grin appeared on his face, and then he did something new as both the kido came and Aeldevera came right after it. He shunpo'd... sideways style. If Alede expected him to use another shield, surprise surprise, for the instant Alede was beside him, Maedel held up his hand. "Hado 33, Sokatsui!" at such a dangerous close range, this was sure to do damage. But Maedel didn't stop there, if it stunned the guy, then all the better. For Maedel charged, unleashing his intense reiatsu and then slashing at Alede repeatedly. "HAAAAA!!!" Maedel was cocky, but one thing that should never be underestimated about him was the fact that he was also crafty. Cocky yet crafty.

"Way Of Binding: No. 39 Enkosen." He stated, repeating the spell Maedel used earlier, forming a condensed shield of energy, which countered his kidou spell. His rapid assault made Aeldevera smile. He began to strike back, harder and faster then before. Sure, the kid was impressive, but he didn't have as much training or years of experience. Using a shield hand to send a flurry of attacks towards Maedel, he held out his hand. "Way of Destruction: No. 54 Tenran." Aeldevera performed the incantation, and unleashed the hadou spell. From his hand a tornado-like burst strike spun out to Maedel. At this range, it was most likely capable of knocking him far away. However, the tornado failed, another failure from the seki seki stone's effects. Not giving him a chance to recover or make a move, he prepared another attack. "Way of Destruction: No. 63 Sōren Sōkatsui!" He called out, not performing the proper incantation. A massive burst of blue energy was shot towards him.
PostPosted: Sat Oct 17, 2009 10:59 pm

Maedel hardly recoiled at all when the guy used the Enkosen to shove him, just simply held his ground with his blade pushing against it, almost shattering it when the guy used Tenran. If he thought to send Maedel that far back, he was mistaken. When the guy sent the Soren Sukatsui at him, Maedel could only grin. "Bakduo 79, Reverse Shield!" he called out, at once the high blue energy shield was formed and then completely negated the Soren Sokatsui. Maedel hesitated no further. As he charged he chanted again. "Hado 75, Grace of a Thousand Roses!" he shouted throwing his hand up in the air for a brief moment. At once the violet light formed the rose in the air and then shattered, the petals raining down at Aeldevera at a dangerous rate. "If you think just kido's gonna beat me, then you're completely delusional!" Maedel shouted as he shunpo'd at him and then slashed upwards, imbuing a large amount of his intense reiatsu into his blade to increase the damage. "So how about you and I take it to the next level, like real Shinigami, eh!?" he demanded of his foe.

Shunpoing far to the left side he slammed his blade against the blade coming towards him, seeing the roses, he jumped into the air, performing an acrobatic back-flip, and shunpoed mid-air further back carefully evading those roses. "Where in the hell did you learn those kidou? My own creations. I'm really impressed Maedel." Aeldevera stated, holding his zanpakuto out. "You aren't that bad at kidou. In fact, you're only a few notches below my mastery." He complimented him. "However, I am the better in this..." He spoke coldly and unsparingly. "Bind their souls to this position, for it is in a compromise such as this, that we negotiate a vow of silence, you will not move, you will not breath, and you will not resist. Way of Binding: No. 94 Heaven Upon Earth." A kidou of this magnitude, required the incantation to be stated. 20 golden rings of light energy began to rapidly form around Maedel, moving to bind him in place. Three of the rings failed, whilst the rest attempted to constrict him at an extremely fast pace. "It's over."

Twenty large rings of pure light energy form around an opponent, and in very rapid successions, close in on the opponent. Upon completing the enclosed, the body is constricted from head to toe in pure gold beams of light. This bind is capable of holding captain-class individuals from making any movements. From there, the beams drain the target of energy slowly, and if the kido is not removed or interrupted, the draining could be capable of killing the opponent.

Maedel's eyes widened behind his goggles when he called out the Bakudo 94! As soon as the rings appeared around him, Maedel unleashed a bit of his own reiatsu, crushing the first three but the others were coming still! This was bad, he had hoped that he would be the one to go first but it seemed like Maedel had no choice. He held up his hands on both sides. "Bakudo 73, Tozanshō!!" at once the inverted pyramid appeared around him. If anything, this would appear as an act of desperation to Aeldevera, and neither he nor anyone else would be able to see nor hear inside the pyramid. But the pyramid wouldn't even last five seconds, but just enough time. Maedel acted fast and closed his eyes. His sword began to glow... At once the entire pyramid began cracking swiftly and those cracks spread.

He didn't need to say it, just saying it now would be a waste of precious time... no seconds. Without even waiting for what he knew would happen, he thrust his sword upwards into the air, and instantly felt himself being pulled upwards.

The Tozansho completely shattered as the rings of light squeeze into it and crush it. But when the debris cleared out... what would await Aeldevera was nothing. Maedel was nowhere there, and the rings crushed in upon themselves, even his reiatsu had vanished completely...

But then it happened instantly! Right behind Aeldevera a loud ringing sound sounded, like bells. What appeared to be a round circular portal in the air just above the ground slightly higher than Aeldevera none other than Maedel fell out, landed on his feet and swung. "HAAAAA!!!" and then he slashed and slashed, his new sword meeting his foe's blade. "Didn't I tell you?! Kido alone won't beat me!" A beautiful sight awaited his enemy's eyes. His sword had completely changed, the blade had extended to a longer than average length, and it glowed... it was alight with bright golden light and sparkled like stars, and each time Maedel swung his sword, a tale-tail trail of stardust was left behind. With a smile Maedel introduced his friend.

"Shine and scorch... KesshouHoshi!!!"

"Well, that was quick thinking. Bakudou 73 huh?" Aeldevera sighed, continuing to counter his slashes. He was then increasing his reiatsu by using his own resolve. He was exerting enough to form a lightning-colored aura around him. He shunpoed behind Maedel, hacking towards his side repeatedly, then shunpoing to his other side and thrusting towards his torso. "You will not win this battle."
