Located in Karakura Town, it is a tiny store owned by Kisuke Urahara where he sells otherwordly items to the Shinigami assigned to Karakura Town, such as Gigai, Soul Candy and various regular items for any humans who may stumble into it. Urahara created a vast area beneath the shop that basically serves as an open training area with lots of large rock formations and small canyons.

Why was this Konso Arrow giving him so much trouble? The theory was sound, but he just couldn't get the components right. Urahara was plainly stumped. Perhaps there was something in the transition process between the Living World and Soul Society that altered human souls. If he could simply harness that X factor, then the Konso Arrow could act for the Quincy as a zanpakuto acted for Shinigami.
With a heavy sigh, Urahara looked up from the tiny purple crystal sitting on his workbench, rubbing the fatigue from his eyes. Well, at least it worked for the most part. Kazuma would be pleased, even if Ikkimaru wouldn't. He could give it to Kazuma for him to test while he worked out the rest of the kinks just as soon as Yoruichi returned.

Yoruichi silently walked through the door to the Shoten and hopped up onto Urahara's work table and happily walked up to get a good look at the crystal that would someday be embedded in every Quincy's cross all around the world. It really was an ingenius idea. The original plan was to modify the Seele Schneider arrow into something more along the lines of a Zanpakuto, but that idea flopped miserably and then Kisuke figured out that he could use a specific kind of crystal to transfer the kind of energy stored in a shinigami's weapon and "taint" the Quincy's reiatsu into holding the same properties of that particular aspect of the zanpakuto. Of course, it wasn't just THAT easy, which was why Kisuke was having that much trouble. "Still can't get it right, huh?" She purred in her masculine feline voice. "I told Kazuma that I would bring him the sample for testing as soon as you were ready. I figure that the sooner we get the prototype out there the faster we'll be able to change the world. Remember your old Gigai model? The thing was so clunky and hard to move in, but you released it and when it was put into action you were able to figure out how to work out the kinks. I would bet you can do the same with this..." As she spoke she pawed her way closer to him and rubbed her neck up against his wrist. It was so much fun being a cat that she often found herself acting the way cats do just out of reflex.

Urahara smiled as Yoruichi arrived, glad to have something to take his mind off this for a moment. He gave her a scratch behind the ears and along her back as she nuzzled his wrist, replying, "Good, thank you, Yoruichi-chan. You're right, of course. Until this thing is tested, I won't have any idea what to expect from it. My biggest worry, though, is how the Seele Schneider will react to this. It's energy output should be altered as soon as it's loaded into the bow, but there's always the chance that it could remain unaffected. But, like you said, it just needs to be tested first to work out the kinks. Go ahead and take it to him whenever you like."

The black cat purred furiously as Urahara scratched behind her ears and down her back. There truly was nothing quite like the feeling of a human scratching those special areas on a cat, Yoruichi often wondered how people could not want to know what it was like. She wouldn't trade it for much, that was for sure. Her human form had its perks, too, but as long as she could have both she would utilize them both for their own unique uses. "Well, there's no sense in waiting. I'll get going." She tipped her nose down and took the crystal in her mouth and clenched down on it hard enough so that it wasn't going anywhere. She just had to be careful not to swallow it, otherwise she'd be eating a lot of grass later and that would not be the most comfortable vomit ever. With one quick wink to Urahara Yoruichi turned and left out the way she came in, headed back to the hospital.

Yoruichi appeared back in the Shoten shortly after leaving Kazuma's side and, again, hopped up onto Urahara's table. "The Konso Arrow is a success. I couldn't sense if the hollow killed had any spiritual energy left after being purified, but it was definitely purified, that much was sure. There was something else that caught my interest though, and I think you should hear it." She circled around in front of Urahara, then turned around and looked at him after laying down. "There were two young quincies that showed up, and they used something called Tenketsu. The curious thing is that they managed to stop a Gillian from firing a Cero, apparantly by focusing on the directional flow of energy in the Gillian's neck and hitting key points with different types of arrows. I figured that would be something worth hearing, I wouldn't mind being able to use such a technique myself..."

Urahara looked up as Yoruichi returned and listened with interest to her report. He was pleased that his creation had worked, regardless of the Hollow having spiritual energy left after its purification. At least it had been purified and not simply destroyed. But, he would make the adjustments to the crystals before making a mass distribution, if only for Ikkimaru's sake.
He did, however, listen with equal interest to the feline woman's explaination of the two other Quincy and their technique. "Hmm, Tenketsu. That's a name I've not heard in a long time." he replied, propping his elbow on the table as he rested his chin his palm. "It's not an unheard of technique within the Quincy tribe, but it fell out of use after the Hakusuitosaketsu was discovered as a more efficient means of dispatching enemies. Still, it does have its uses for limiting the attack ability of powerful enemies who would otherwise be difficult to strike with an attack that requires such precision as the Hakusuitosaketsu."

Yoruichi's feline eyes remained focused Urahara as he spoke, and when he was done explaining what he knew she sat her chin down on the back of her front paws while she spoke. "It's an interesting concept, I'm not surprised that you've heard about it. You don't think that shinigami can look for those vital points, do you? I wouldn't mind learning how to do so, I could see very practical uses while using shunko."

Urahara thought for a moment before replying, "I think I might have diagramed it at one point while I was still in 2nd Squad, but it was one of the things I had to leave behind in my rather hasty escape from Soul Society. Who knows where it is now. Probably in the forbidden section of Soul Society's archives. I doubt Ikkimaru would mind letting you look for it, in fact I'm sure Kazuma would appreciate the effort as well." A slight grin spread across his face as he added, "That is, if you plan on sharing it with him at all."

"I have a feeling that Kaz will figure out his own way to find out about it. In any case I might just go for a walk in the Archives," Said the feline as she stood up and hopped off of the table. She pawed her way into the other room and a few moments later she emerged in full human form, fully dressed in her tight black suit, orange jacket, leggings, arm warmers, and scarf. She stretched herself out a little as the change in body type was actually quite taxing on her muscles. "So, you wanna come with me upt to Seireitei, or would you rather stick around here? It doesn't matter either way, I just figured that you might want to get away from your work desk."

Urahara gave her an amused look from under his hat as she emerged humanoid and fully dressed, "Well, look at miss modest. I don't remember you caring about people seeing you change, me least of all." With a small stretch, he stood from his workbench and replied, "I suppose it would be good for me to stretch my legs. Perhaps I can have a drink with Ikkimaru while you do your treasure hunt."

"While I love to change in front of you, I'd left my things in there. Maybe later I'll do you the pleasure of changing in the same room. In any case let's get going." She said with a coy smirk on her face. She turned around and held out her hand to summon a Hell Butterfly, which would then open a Senkaimon that would take them to the First Division courtyard.

Urahara simply gave a light smirk, always enjoying their playful banter, as he followed Yoruichi through the Senkaimon to 1st Division Headquarters. As the portal opened, though, he got the strangest feeling from the other side. Some foreboding sense of danger that made him grab Benihime at the last second.
