Name: Kangohei Iesu
Age: 1848
Gender: Race: Shinigami
Weapon: Chinseizai (Painkiller)
Weapon Info/Abilities: "Forsake me, Chinseizai." Upon release this sword cannot cut into anyone. It can be used to deflect, parry, and block, but when it is swung into any living flesh it passes through it as if they were made of air. The sword comes with three abilties. It is a healing-type Zanpakuto with a bit of a twist. The First is the "Pacifist Ability." When cutting into someone the nerves that control the skeletal muscles in the area cut are shut down and rendered useless, and the area around the cut becomes numb. This means that if Kango slices into someone's arm (as if slicing the arm off) the entire arm will become numb from the point that it was cut down, and that arm will not be able to move. If he cuts through someone's neck they will no longer be able to move any of their arms or legs and their whole body will become numb. If it's just a cut to the shoulder or a shallow cut to the body the area cut will be numb and motion attributed to that area will be slowed (so if he cuts a shoulder the arm attached will be less reactive but can still move). This can only be done when the person cut does not have any wounds or injuries. Second is the "Healing ability." When the blade makes contact with someone who is injured their wounds are removed from the general area "cut" and transfered to Kongo's body. So if someone has a cut across the chest, he can transfer that injury to himself using his sword. Third is the "Injure/transfer ability," only after he has absorbed someone's wounds onto himself can he use this ability. Whatever wound he takes on can be transfered to a target by "cutting" them with the sword. Though the injury will not be exactly the same in terms of location it will be of similar severety. For example, if Kango absorbs a large cut along the right arm, he can transfer that cut to his target's left arm, chest, back, or wherever he actually strikes the person. He can choose when to use this ability and can absorb more wounds if he wants. If he has accumulated several wounds he can transfer all of those wounds into one powerful strike so if he has three cuts that are each five inches long and one inch deep he can rid himself of those three wounds to deliver one blow that is up to fifteen inches long and three inches deep.
Bankai: Mikoyose Chinseizai
Upon the release of Chinseizai’s Bankai a cloud of dust is constantly released into the air and is suspended by Kango’s reiatsu. The cloud has a fifteen foot radius in all directions around Kango (except for under ground), and moves with him as he moves because the dust is constantly released. It is released from his sword, so if someone manages to get him away from his sword he can't do anything to create the dust himself. This dust will heal whatever wounds he has and will heal any future wounds he gets as long as the Bankai remains active. In other words it acts as a sort of high speed regeneration. As long as the dust makes contact with a wound it will automatically begin the healing process and will continue even if the Bankai is sealed. New wounds after the sword is sealed will not be healed because they are not exposed to the dust, and all dust vanishes once the sword is sealed unless it has been absorbed by his body. The severity of the wound determines how long it will take to heal. If its a simple surface wound it will heal close to instantly, but a stab wound that goes through his chest it will take a minute or two to heal, and if it's a severed limb or something severe like that it will take much longer. The dust also serves as a Sixth Sense for him. If someone manages to blind him or fool his first five senses, he can discover where they are using the dust as a sort of sensory field. This can sense both motion and the still presence of someone nearby, and can sense projectiles comeing at him. He can get a general feel for how fast the projectile is moving, and what body part it is aimed at as long as it's moving in a straight line. Calculating trajectory of an arked attack is much more difficult to do in the heat of battle. That’s the first ability.
The second ability is the same as his Shikai. He can still numb someone's body by cutting them, absorb wounds from people, and transfer wounds to anyone, but the limitation of this is that any wound he absorbs will instantly begin healing due to the white dust cloud.
Lastly, if he cuts the body of someone who recently died he can bring their body back to life and they will be able to fight for him with all of their ability that they had before death. This is not a revival technique, as the body dies again once his Bankai is sealed and the body is more or less under his control. In a sense, the body is healed completely and his Bankai gives it life, but once the Bankai is sealed the body loses its life again despite being physically perfectly fine. If the body is killed after being revived he can bring it back as long as he can get to it and it is still, for the most part, in one piece. If the body is dismembered he can bring it back, but it won't have whatever it's missing. So if it's missing a leg, it won't be able to walk. The limit to this is if it's missing it's head, then it can't be brought to fight for him. Othewise as long as the body is in one piece, even if it's shredded or crushed, can be made whole again. He can maintain control over this body even after his sword is sealed, and even speak through it using the person's voice. When he mentally cuts control over the body it will drop dead and remain dead until he comes to claim it again with his Bankai or until it dissolves.
Personal Abilities: Kango is a master of Kidou, and his shunpo can rival that of Byakuya or Soifon, but his specialty is in Forbidden Kidou.
Character Bio: As a human, Kango was a brilliant young fighter who was forced by his parents to become a doctor instead. Times of peace in his country were not suitable to a warrior, but doctors were always needed, as they said. He studied medicine day in and day out but on the side he would sneak out and pick any fight he could just to see how much damage he could do. Then one night he picked the wrong fight and ended up with a broken neck. Lucky for him a shinigami happened to be very close by as his soul surely would have corrupted with the desire for vengeance and he definitely would have become a hollow if left alone. His soul was purified and he was sent to Soul Society. There, he found himself in the 20th district of West Rukongai. Though he remembered nothing about his life he knew in his heart that he wanted to be a fighter.
Legends of the Shinigami traveled through Rukongai and he decided that he wanted to become one. He had to become one. Just through sheer determination he developed his spiritual strength over the years and soon enough his reiatsu was strong enough for him to be able to handle entry into the Academy. There he spent the entire six years and grew into a fine shinigami. His ability was among the best in his class and things were looking up for him. When it came time to learn his Zanpakuto's name he grew very excited. His spirit told him her name, Chinseizai, meaning Painkiller. This sounded so badass to him, but it was more than just a name. When he released his sword for the first time he was extremely disappointed as it hardly changed in appearance at all other than turning white with a red hilt instead of the common steel with a black hilt. He tried everything to attack, but nothing happened. Of course the instructors wouldn't let him try attacking a living person, so his sword did nothing to the training dummies and he had a lot of trouble trying to find out what it did. Then, one day he and another student were messing around while sparring and he released his sword without the instructor's permission. He then cut into the student's shoulder and everyone gasped as they expected a fountain of blood to follow. The other student immediately dropped his sword and his arm dangled at his side, but no wound appeared. He said that he didn't even feel the attack, but suddenly he lost all feeling in his arm. It then became clear that Kango's zanpakuto was a healing type. He tried it out and spoke with his spirit only to find out the full power of his sword, and he was not amused.
Disappointed, his grades slipped even though he was entirely capable of great things. If it weren't for his instructor he would have dropped out entirely, but he stayed in the Academy and graduated in the middle of his class. He went on to the 4th Division and became known as the "Pansy who fights back" by the Eleventh Squad. Despite his sword's lack of power he still fought hard against the Eleventh bullies and often times left them laying on the ground temporarily paralyzed. Most of them left him alone after too many run-ins. Then Unohana encouraged him to become a stronger fighter. She told him that the Fifth Division would be able to teach him moves that would make him a great warrior even with a healing zanpakuto. This, of course, was Kidou. He studied with the kidou masters of the Fifth Division and before long he'd learned dozens of spells, even spells that he wasn't supposed to know. He practiced using Forbidden Kidou in private and never intended to use it in front of anyone. Once he became proficient with all forms of Kidou he decided that it felt good to get stronger and, despite his original intentions, he started training for his Bankai. After dozens of years he finally achieved Bankai and in front of Yamamoto, Unohana, Kyouraku, Ikkimaru, and Ukitake he released it for the first time. Not much changed in his eyes at first. The cloud of dust released was the only apparant ability. His spirit told him to instruct someone to cut him. He did so, and Ikkimaru readily sliced into his arm, leaving a shallow wound wihch instantly sealed up. Then his sword's spirit told him to instruct someone to let him cut them. Ikkimaru again volunteered and Kango cut through his hand, causing it to numb up. Lastly his sword told him that if they had a dead body to bring it out. This was when things started to get a little sketchy.
Yamamoto questioned why he needed a dead body. Kango didn't know. Willing to hear him out, the group lead Kango to a prison where a criminal was waiting to be executed. They expedited the process and had him executed by Ikkimaru's blade. The man died instantly, but Kango cut him, healing his wounds, and suddenly the man came back to life! He stood there silently and only said something when Kango did. It became clear that Kango had complete control over this man. That was the second incident. This ability was rather horrifying to the Captains, but they were willing to allow him to coexist with everyone as long as he only used the ability on hollows. The final straw that sent him to the Maggot's nest happend appriximately 100 years before Ikkimaru's rebellion against Yamamoto, so 750 years before the present. Kango had lost his gotten drunk one evening and had gotten into a fight at a bar, and accidentally killed the man. Still drunk, he wanted to avoid everyone's accusations of murder by bringing him back to life using his Zanpakuto. No one there knew that it wasn't a real resurrection, and they all were relieved to see the man stand up and tell them that he was fine. Unfortunately the Lieutenant of the First Division was there and he had seen what happened and reported it to Yamamoto. When the Second Division came to arrest him Kango used several Forbidden Kidou spells to attempt an escape, and even killed a few in the process, but ultimately was caught. He was sentenced to life in the Maggot's Nest for use of a forbidden ability, and use of forbidden Kidou. There he remains to this day.
