when i was 14ish i was curious as to how guitars worked so i ripped it apart, and made a wireing diagram on scratch paper b4 i pulled anything, when i put it back together i added a zebra stripe style to the pickgaurd with my model paint and a black trim line to the headstock (didnt turn out well)

after a while the pickups gave out and it sat for a few months nothing but a noiseless shell, untill my uncle who runs a sound studio /repair shop came across some anchient early 70's EMG SA pickups in one of his closets i had mentioned to him i like emg's and that my strat needed redoing so he gave them to me as a christmas/birthday present, and i wired them up, this is about the same time i got my Ibanez RG 570 so last christams-ish
(christmas 200 cool

Recently ive been feeling adventureus so i decided it needed to be refinished. Haven't painted much in my life but i knew if i was gonna make it look right it had to be spray paint so i bought a few cans and set to work useing some techniques i had seen on tv and the internet on how to make a sunburst and a bit of beginers luck u have this:

it looks better in person, now the issue is when i origanaly wired up the SA's only the neck and bridge pickups worked, if it was set to anything other than bridge orneck it was a kill and made no sound at all, and t further confuse the matter the first tone knob acted as a 2ndary volume for the neck pickup.

Problem:
after i put it all back together after the paint i notesed if i eased the master volume back to 80% or lower the mid pickup would work again and when the volume was at full it generated an odd but interesting sounding distortion when played, but makes almost no trebble range, the third tone knob has yet to do anything. I am stumped on this, i checked all the connections there all good, double checked the diagram, its wired right so..... idk wtf happened to her (but it sounds rlly kewl with that oddball distortion when playing a rythem)

I really can't help you, but is it any consolation to know that it looks really cool?

Wow. Looks really good. But maybe one of the wires has a short in it?

Interesting avatar by the way.
Melatonin works wonders if you're brain is in maximum overdrive. Thank you kindly! I have so much old s**t, just tryna work with the random junk they just hand out. I dig yours too!
Normally it does yes, but it hardly gets me. Actually my doctors tell me not to because it can cause complications elsewhere. So all I can do is get my mind wired and then tired. And you're most welcome. It does have a classic vibe to it. Thank you, I love my little monster.
You should only take so much and not make it a dependency, since your body creates it naturally. If you can find a natural way to get tired, that will trump everything. Classic huh? Haha I like the fantasy / smug vibe it has to it. Yeah! Its got a mix of cute and sexy. The best mix tbh.
