Does anyone by any chance know the name of the stage that has been removed from one of the first three games before it was released. I remembered seeing a video on youtube about it and I think it had skeletal enemies and flames in the background, that is all I could remember. I don't even know if it was made by a fan or not.
I want to do an artwork related to that stage with my fan character Pin the panda as a possible boss for the third zone.
I will really appreciate if someone would lend me a hand smile

Could you be thinking of Hidden Palace Zone, perhaps? It was removed from Sonic the Hedgehog 2 before its release.
