Hello! I'm The_Ky-Guy, and it's been an awful long time since I made a sticky here in this guild, but I wanted to share a game with you all.

I often like to visit the Japanese website a lot, so I see a lot of interesting games for the DS, as well as the Gamecube and GBA. But there was this DS game that was released in Japan quite some time ago, and I wondered if that game would ever come to the U.S.

What was that game you ask? It's called "Brain Age".
Here is the Japanese webpage.
Here is the American webpage.

It is quite interesting to me because it seems quite educational as well as fun. It is inspired by the research of a Japanese neuroscientist named Professor Ryuta Kawashima. It is supposed to be a "brain trainer". This game has math problems, drawing pictures on the touch screen, reading classic literature out loud, sudoku and many more educational activities.

On your first day of excercise in this unique game, you will take a series of tests and get a score that will be called your "DS Brain Age". If you do these excercises more and more, however, you can lower that "Brain Age".

It seems interesting to me, and it comes out on April 17, 2006.

What is your opinion on it?

One of my teachers told me about it.

You have to have all of the numbers from 1-9 in all of the rows and columns, but you can't put two of each number in the same row or column.

I got the game today. (4/17/06)
And I actually got my mother to play the game. She played it for about an hour.

I have to say, this game is really addicting in the beginning because you'd want to get a better score and greater speed. Can't type out the whole experience, because I got 2 go.

I was about to get that game, but I thought not to because I thought I'd get bored of it in a week or so.

I don't know if it was on or is going to be on later today but either way brain age was once again talked about on the news, fox news to be exact. The game has been making quite a statement, on fox they were saying something to the extent of parents wanting to take their kids DS in order to play it themselfs. This game is now making a new window of opportunity for parents in america to get more into gaming. Of course our generation will be heavily populated by parents that play video games frequently. Us being the parents, applying an old phrase "old habbits die hard" and I believe that games will stick with us for as long as we live. Brain training, great game, great opportunity.

YOu really make a good point.

I just got it today, and I told my dad that it has sudoku. I think he might try to get his hands on my DS sooner or later.
