Captain: Kenpachi Zaraki
Details: Having spent most of his life wandering the Rukon District fighting, Kenpachi Zaraki was merely a swordsman with no name and a trail of blood in his wake. After discovering a young child one day and noticing that she did not fear the blood on his sword, he decided to take her with him. He then gave her the name Yachiru after the only person he ever admired, and himself the name Kenpachi (the title of the strongest swordsman) Zaraki (the name of the district he came from). Not long after, Kenpachi became the only Captain in the history of Soul Society to become Captain by killing the former Captain in battle. A fitting entrance, some might say, for man who lives, quite simply, for the thrill of battle. His spiritual pressure is said to be higher than any other Captain.

Vice-Captain: Yachiru Kusajishi
Details: Found by Kenpachi as an infant, he began to take her with him wherever he went, including his ascent to the rank of Captain of the 11th Division. Now serving as his lieutenant, she is deceptively fast and capable on the battlefield, in spite of her age and size. She is the chairwoman of the Shinigami Women's Association, and her hyperactive streaks are the stuff of legends...and nightmares.
