To answer the question: that confused me as well. The point of putting chat outside matches was in my mind either to reduce annoying rants for more concentration on the game, keep a steady frame rate online, or because of hardware limitations. Yet not being able to strategize while playing is a little disappointing. However I think of it as sort of a chat between matches so you can plan ahead. This is just my own opinion so if you disagree that's fine smile .

Well there might be an option for an "Every-Man for himself match" so there might not be a need for much strategizing with others..

Just thinking about CtF makes me all cheery inside with the thought of what the maps will look like..

Well, it's been recently clarified that you will only be able to chat with Friends and you can only play a few Multiplayer Modes with people you don't know.
