The Gamecube Version

NOM had been going on about Animal Crossing for months. 2 months before the release there was a preview, teasing the readers about its features, people in the UK had never seen such a unique game before. One month before, and the magazine practically forces you to your shop to demand the game early. The entire game is blown apart, immortalized and cherised. You knew about some of the tips and tricks, and were dying to try them out, but they didnt teach you all. They still made the game un-spoilt.

When September 24th came round, I got Animal Crossing, and I can remember putting it in my GC at 9: 15 PM, and only wanting a 45 minute blast so I could watch something on the TV at 10. I never got to watch the program. I was playing on Animal Crossing, and from then on, I loved it. The UK release was perfect, as all the good holidays such as Halloween were close by. I can remember playing on AC before I went to school, and straight after. I used to come back armed with reams of paper of tips, tricks and other goodies. Halloween was amazing, Mushrooming was amazing, the level of connectivity was amazing - but what was most important to me, was the relaxed nature of the game. Suspense is hardly ever created, it's just a peaceful journey through normal life in a village.

I hope there is the same standards in the DS Version

I can remember the frustration of having to be stuck at home, upstairs, in my bedroom, in front of a TV. With the DS version, your town can be accessed anywhere.. but you know that already.

I know that Nintendo hve not included Halloween and Christmas. I've hadmy rants and I know there reasons. I'm mad and hurt inside... so everyone, when I get AC - we'll have to organise our own Wi-Fi Halloween party or something.

My ideas for AC DS during development were ridiculed, even though they could prolong the life of AC DS by up to 3 years (If anyone wants to know I'll post em). So, what my question is, is, well - does it live up to my expectations?

Don't give too detailed spoilers, many UK Gaians like me will not want the game spoilt..

Bring on March 31st
