EARLY CHILDHOOD Gabriel was born the oldest of four children. His father was a Professor at Cambridge University, and his mother worked as a botanist, mostly from home. He lived what he would consider a pretty average life. He went to school, made friends, all the typical kid things. However, when he turned eleven, things began to change. A man came to the Westons' home and informed them that Gabriel was a wizard. At first, they all found it hard to believe, and frankly, it took him weeks to really come to terms with it, but after some very undeniable evidence of magic, they had no choice but to believe him.

SCHOOL YEARS The following September, he began his journey to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He felt entirely out of his element. The magical world was something completely different to him. He went through the sorting ceremony and was placed in Ravenclaw. At first, he kept to himself, but slowly he got out of his shell and began to make friends with his housemates and eventually students in other houses. He wouldn't exactly call himself popular, but he gained plenty of friends through the years, and it seemed, in general, people liked him. He also excelled in his classes and found himself drawn to studying every possible facet of magic. He developed a particular fascination with wands. By the time he graduated, he felt prepared to continue on in the magical world.

POST-GRADUATION Almost as soon as he graduated, Gabriel was accepted as an apprentice at a wand shop. He mostly helped with the guests out front, but tried his hand at wand construction a few times. He loved seeing the personalities of the different wands and how they interacted with their new owners. There was something extra special about watching a child pick up a wand for the first time and seeing that match. It was the interactions he had with Hogwarts students that convinced him to pivot in his career. When the current Wandlore teacher from Hogwarts retired, Gabriel made a split decision to apply for the position. He really didn't think he'd even be considered, but he was contacted by the Headmaster, and after an interview, he was offered the job. Truthfully, he's terrified, but excited to begin.
