Hello, my friends! I have a question.

My sister is in Spain to study abroad (she is in Segovia). She is living with a host family to study and such. Anyway, my grandmother, her friend and I are going to visit her during the last 10 days of her trip.

Here is the question: I've been playing "Brain Age" everyday since I got it and I prefer to keep up on my brain training. However, I have heard bad rumors that if you buy one of those US/Europe plug converters, it will fry anything that you plug into. I would like to have something to plug my DS into in case the battery runs low.

Can anybody help me find an appropriate plug for a DS so that I can plug it in when I need to in Europe?

where the hell did you hear that?!nothing like that will happen unless it's a game downloaded from the internet onto a x-rom.if you've bought it like everyone else then you shouldn't have a problem

Uhh... I don't know what Black NDS is talking about (a game, bought or downloaded, has nothing to do with a power current's effect on electronic device)

But if you're concerned with a power conversion issue, then I can help.
The US and Japan use the same power current of 110v, but the rest of the world mainly uses 220v. So if you just got a normal socket converter, then yes, your system would most likely fry (that, or just the battery.) So you can either

A. Buy a power inverter (which can be used for many electronic devices)
B. Buy a Multivolt AC adaptor for your DS (here's one, but look around a little more http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=278&products_id=3790&)
C. If you'll have access to a computer, Buy a USB charger for your DS (this one I like the best, because you don't have to worry about what power level you need, or all that other crap)

Hope that helps

You can always buy a Car charger and charge it in the car...

I just bought mine today, and I already knew/assumed, and the guy behind the counter confirmed this bit of information. You don't have to worry about any power problems at all. See, the NDS is made to be a 5.3 volt electronic. You don't have to worry about any conversion problems as long as you buy the DS charger made by nintendo for whatever country you may happen to be in. The charger acts as the converter, enabling the system to charge on any outlet anywhere in the world. So when I get home I can buy an american charger for my DS, and when I'm still here in london I can use the european charger. Nintendo really did mean region free, when they said region free. So, there you have it, and if your DS does get ruined because of what I told you, which it won't, I will have broke mine as well because that's what I'm doing when I get home to charge my system. You won't have any problems just as long as you buy the charger that nintendo manufactures themself.

Well, I may check for a game shop in SPain when I reach that country. I'm sure there will be one.

But, I'm not going to use my DS much though. In fact, it will only be for "Brain Age."
