The northern forest leads to the base of the mountains. The further up the colder it gets, and the more it is filled with wild digimon. Not all are friendly, but not al are hostile. Be warned that at the base of the mountain there are several strong digimon and it would be wise to keep clear if you are not well prepared.

Trees.Trees. And more trees. Shotmon's tongue hanged out, flopping up and down after everyone of Izzy's forced steps. The blue haired girl looked behind her shoulder before slowing down to a stop, bending over to catch her breath. They ran far, but how far exactly?
The trees blocked her view, so she couldn't see where the mountain was exactly.. Though she did have a vague idea. Kept it infront.. and just ran straight.. hopefully it's still straight ahead... She inhaled deeply, letting that breath of air out slowly to calm herself down.
Izzy looked down at Shotmon and smiled, "We're.. safe now.. aww.. you're so.. cute.." every word still needed a breath. She stood there, waiting for the other two kids.

Talner came up, gasping for air. They'd run so far... He plopped down on the ground, resting against one of the thousands of trees. He panted, trying to catch his breath and slow his breathing.
Petrockmon seemed calmer now that they were away from Shellmon. He cooed up at the boy.

Xander slowed down as the two ahead stopped, leaning against a tree to catch his breath.After a few moment he glanced behind them, then back at the other two."So where to now, we just gonna keep torwards the mountains?"
Onelemon bounced in Xander's arms, leaf swaying from side to side as he looked around at all the trees.

Izzy waved at Xander, answering after she finally finished gasping for air, "I guess so.. just keep going straight and we're bound to hit it..."
Shotmon wiggled in Izzy's arms, rubbing his head agaisnt her vest and.. nibbling on it. He made cute puppy-ish noise, or whatever was close to it in Izzy's mind. She pat his head and he whined, "Hm..? Hungry?" As if he understood, he gave her a yes nod and wriggled violently, his tongue dove into one of her vest pockets and pulled out a clip for her airsoft gun. "Whoa...!" Before she could stop him, he.. ate it.
"... Uh... that's not really edible... " No response. She sighed as if she expected it. Oh well.. he seems okay with eating it.. just.. wonder if there's something else I could feed him instead...
A exasperated look was displayed on her face as she looked at the boys, "So.. shall we" Her hand moved lazily, extending her forefinger to point in the direction of where she 'thought' the mountain was. Just keep going in one direction towards it.. bound to hit.

Talner watched as Shotmon ate... something... of Izzy's and her protest that it wasn't edible. He glanced down at Petrockmon. "I guess you're hungry too?"
The fresh digimon made some cooing and affirmative sounds. Talner wondered what the thing would even eat. Did it eat rocks? Or just regular food.
"I'm hungry myself... I wonder if there's anything in this forest we could eat..."

Xander pushed off the tree and took a few steps forwad, looking aroudn for anything edible."Well I don't see much around here but..trees and such."He looked back at the two."You think there will be anything closer to the mountain?"
Onelemon stretched his leaf out torwards a small bit of sunlight shining through the leaves, cooing as the light hit the leaf.

As if it was the first time Izzy noticed, but there seemed to be a plug in a tree. By a plug, as in... not an appearance formed by the warping bark, but as in ... tree bark, solid plug, tree bark. It wasn't like it was excetionally noticable, but probaly had to do with the fact that, If you see something familiar, you'll overlook the differences... she rubbed her head, wondering why there was a plug in a tree. Her eyes scanned the rest of the forest, concentrating on the differnces from normal to.. weird. Before long, she started to notice there were a few wires running along where the roots protruded out. Why was all this stuff here? Why does it seem natural to the trees in some weird sense? Why the heck she didn't notice before? This could all be here due to the fact that I'm going crazy...
Izzy was instantly brought back from her in-depth observation to Xander's question, "Probaly.. we saw a lake.. and that thing. And.. well.. they probaly eat. Maybe if we're lucky.. we'll run into some berries?"
The girl stood up and took a deep breath, then let it out slowly. As she went down, her eyes caught to a small wire that was wrapped around the tree she was next to. "This place... is weird..." As if it mattered if they thought she was crazy, she was going for it. The navy-haired girl stuck out her thumb at the wire next to her, "This isn't normal, is it?"

Talner nodded at Izzy's reasoning. Surely there was something they could eat around here. He got up and wandered over to look at what the girl was jabbing her thumb at. "Definately not normal..." He muttered, looking at the wire. "Where are we...?" The question was still in his mind, unanswered.

Xander took a couple steps forward to see what they were talking aobut, blinking in surprise as he saw the wire."Wires?"He looked about some more, as if something would pop up as a clue to where they were."This place just gets weirder, I wonder what it's gonna be like further in."He turned back to the two.

 Their travels any further into the forest were about to be interrupted. The trees directly ahead of the three children and their digimon suddenly snapped and the trees beyond that were impaled by long silver spikes.
It wasn't long before the origin of these deadly weapons were revealed as a large digimon appeared from behind a tree off in the distance.
Slowly it stumbled toward them. Long ribbons attached to its back wrapped around some of the trees to help keep him stable. The grip he had on the trees were so tight that it cracked the bark and left deep marks as he let go of them and moved to the next tree.
His golden eyes focused forward at the kids and their scrawny digimon. There was something obviously wrong with this thing, and it didn't look like it would be willing to stop and be helped.

Before she could try to answer the two boys, a loud cracking of foresty perked her ears. She instinctively looked towards the source of the noise and noticed the frightening monstrocity... Was another monster attacking them? Though, the one at the beach felt like a snail compared to this.
Izzy clutched Shotmon tightly agaisnt her chest as she staggered back a few steps, "R-Run!" Her heels dug into the ground as she pivoted and immediately ran off to the side, "Get out of it's line of sight!" Shotmon seemed oblivious to the danger, being a baby and all. His tongue playfully hanged out as his tamer ran frantic.

Talner jumped with a start as the trees just ahead of them snapped and cracked. He took one look at the thing that did it and, grabbing up Petrockmon, ran after Izzy. This thing was huge and it looked angry!

Xander's head jerked torwards the noise os snapping trees, a look of confusion and fear on his face.He took step back and turned, hugging Onelemon to his chest as he ran after the others.

Aww, they were running away? And now there are twelve of them. This made the digimon's head hurt even more than it already did. Best take care of this.
Quickly the digimon leapt forward and chased the twelve of them. He lifted his cannon and fired shots, landing the "other" six.
Metal spikes shot through a set of trees and impaled another set on the other side.
It was hard to keep a good lock on these guys as the trees liked to jump out in front of him and obscure his path.
