Ok. is it just me, or is anyone else dissapointed with the way the manga/anime Pretear turned out?

I, for one, wasnt able to decide which I liked better- the anime or the manga. The manga ended terribly, was a complete letdown- everything just ended. No fight, or anything! Just a hug, some kind words, and everything's back to normal. The anime, I feel, had a much better ending. But the anime butchered quite a few characters- Kei was turned into some... thing. And the sad part is he looked fine in the manga. Same with Goh. Mannen Hajime and Shin turned out alright, and I personally liked Hayate with his hair long in the manga. They also changed Sasame's personality- he was a lot quieter in the anime than the manga.

Both have their up's and downs. The biggest thing for me, however was how in the manga, Takako was trapped in that cavern, ".. never again to return to the circle of Leafe." That made me sad- she never wanted to become the princess of disaster and end up frozen forever.

I've been toying with the idea of a fanfic that combines the better aspects of the anime and manga, and ending it better. I just wanted to know if anyone else felt the same? biggrin
