That's what it seems to me. Anyone can prove me wrong?

I sure as heck can. Go read the Farsala Trilogy, by Hilary Belle. It is the single best series of books I've EVER read. No doubt. It starts slow, but after a few chapters you'll be son engrosed into it that the very thought of stopping is laughable.

While it's technically considered a "youth series", Ursula K Le Guin's Earthsea Cycle is beautiful, mature, epic, well writen, and just plain amazing (Kao loved this series growing up, and introduced me to them not too long ago). It's the only fantasy novels I've ever enjoyed (never cared for the genre).
I highly recommend reading a Wizard of Earthsea (a quick read for most), as it will tear your heart a new one (go multi-cultural fantasy setting with naturalistic themes) heart
Ged is a cutie.

SWORD OF TRUTH SERIES. That's all I need to say. That's the shining jewel of fantasy in your FACE.

I personally like the Dragonlance series (the original three and only a couple other story branches mind you...), though I don't think everyone does...
