I AM THE POKEMON MASTER twisted
...um... 1st generation is and always will be the best, so get leaf green if you are just starting pokemon.
anyways, diamond and pearl are mostly the same. the color is different for each. in diamond you catch dialga, and in pearl you catch palkia. also, some pokemon may vary in catching them (maybe like around 10), so u'll have to trade to get them all.

Eh, personally I liked Leaf Green and Fire Red the least. I guess that's because I completely mastered Blue version, and there was no point in doing it all over again. I think it's funny that the gameplay never changes at all in every single pokemon game for the handheld system, but it just never seems to get old when you wanna catch a poke'man and you fail, then you're just like "F***!!!!!!" I love it!

i dont reccomend you get either of them. They are terrible repetitions of the old games, but not nearly as fun. i have both of them, and never play them , because i expected it to actually be a good game.
i was wrong.

Almost a godsend D:
