The sun had been out lately, that told Kiyoshi that it was almost summer. Ah, her favorite time of the year. It was so nice and pleasant. The dark blue hippogriff flapped her wings as she walked a bit. She needed to stretch them.
Her wings were white with dark blue speckles everywhere. Almost like her legs but blue instead of white, and with white speckles. She was almost like the night sky.
Kiyoshi made clicking noises as she made her way to the water hole she once roamed before. She hadn't been around for awhile. Her absence was not good. She hadn't seen her mate in forever, or her kids. Had they grown yet? Why had she left? She felt so horrible for leaving for so long. But that didn't matter, she was back now.

Calamity flew with a few strands of grain hanging from his beak. As his eyes searched the land for more substance to help Ridik and himself from this hot weather he stopped staring at a blue spot by the pond he normally got water from. Letting the grain fall his mood grew joyful and he flew down circling over the dot before coming to the ground. "Kiyoshi!" he exclamied, it had been so long and he longed for her so much.
Running up he circled her before nuzzling her on the neck letting her scent return to his mind. It was her, sadly he didn't have much to return to her homecoming, none of their children had grown at all in the time she had lay absent from the comfort of their home.

Kiyoshi was rather startled at first. She had no clue who had nuzzled her because it happened so fast. She jumped backwards and then finally noticed who it was. Was it really him? She blinked and tilted her head.
"Calamity?" she asked hoping that her eyes had not been playing tricks on her. "is that really you? Or have my eyes been playing tricks on me again."

"It is me," he said splashing water over her feet like he used too. Her wing had finally healed after that injury way back when. As he walked forward again he sat waiting for her to spot looking so funny. Snickering slightly he smiled at her tears running down his face.

[ Lady Kiya ] Kiyoshi was very happy now. Her eyes weren't tricking her this time, unless her ears were in on the game. She came closer to him and nuzzled him leaving her head in his feathers.

She had no clue, her eyes were watery from the joy of seeing him again. As it seemed his were the same. She lifted her head back. "I... I don't know." She said as honestly as she could.
The only one she knew that had hatched from her and Calamity's Litter was Nyght. Though, he was with different adult Hippogriff. She knew he wouldn't have stayed long. He didn't like it much there, or that's what she thought. "Oh? Home sounds lovely." She said with a smile. Her wings folded gently to her back. Her tail swishing around happily.

Calamity smiled and walked forward with Kiyoshi following he reached the vines and jumping up he pulled the vine that parted an opening in the cliff walls. As he entered he looked up the sun shining through the hold at the top with walls all around them. The stream in the back trickeled perfectly as it always had. Nuzzling Kiyoshi he smiled.
Ridik stood as the sound of footsteps filled the silent cavern home. As he turned the corner that helped seperate the home he gasped. Smiling brightly he jumped forward and dashed around Kiyoshi. "Kiyo, you've returned!" he exclaimed slowly skidding to a halt before crashing into Kiyoshi's old plants that still thrived brightly.

Kiyoshi slowly entered the cave she had been longing to see for ever. It was like when she left her mind was erased and she couldn't find her way back. It felt horrible to leave a family that she loved so much. She let her eyes adjust to the dark cave.
As soon as Ridik saw her, he jumped up and circled her. He had grown a lot since the last time she saw him. She smiled and nuzzled the little one and looked to Calamity. "Where is the others? She didn't see Nyght or the other two eggs. She was sure they'd be hatched by now. Sure that Nyght was as old as Ridik. She flicked her tail and moved her wings a little as she looked at Calamity.
