Okay, well first you should know, I work at an auto parts store, and just like everybody else, we get our share of... "certain" customers. So anyway...

This older guy comes in, and my boss helps him (my boss=THE store manager, who knows just about everything about cars/car parts). The customer wants a valve cover gasket for a 1931 Ford Model A with a 4 cylinder engine. Well, knowing the computer doesn't go back that far, my boss goes to the book, which lists parts by engine size, also known as cubic-inch. So he asks the guy if he knows exactly what size it is. Liters, cubic inch?? "I don't know, it's just a Ford 4 cylinder." the customer says, very cockily. So my boss asks him "So you don't know exactly??" and gets a reply "I already told you, it's just a Ford 4 cylinder, 1931 Model A.", so my boss is lookng in the books, kneeling down behind the counter, and mumbles "a*****e..." Of course, having no luck finding the gasket, he tells the customer, and gets the reply "Well you should have that here, it's just a Ford 4 cylinder. It should be a really common gasket!" and my boss says "Well I wasn't around in the 1930s, so I wouldn't know!"

At that point, me and the other guy who were watching/listening walked off snickering, carrying down the parts aisles dying of laughter. It was just damn hilarious. rofl
