When I eat gluten (Wheat, Rye, Barley, some oats), my body attacks itself which smooths out the villi in my intestines, causing my body to not get the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals from my food. There is no cure although there are /tons/ of people with the disease. The only way to not hurt or be sick is to live a gluten free lifestyle. (Harder than you think since basically everything has some form of gluten in it) If you continue eating gluten, you can end up with colon cancer, bone problems, diabetes, and many other serious health problems.
